Skrill casinos UK

Skrill casinos UK players can rely on are licensed sites that list the e-wallet in their cashier, and of our partners only Casumo publishes Skrill for both deposits and withdrawals. The catch to know first: Coral and Ladbrokes exclude Skrill deposits from their new-player offers, so a Skrill payment can cost you the welcome bonus.

Key takeaways

  • Casumo’s help pages list Skrill for deposits and say Skrill withdrawals arrive instantly once approved (checked 5 October 2026).
  • Neither Coral nor Ladbrokes accepts Skrill deposits for its welcome offer, and neither help centre lists Skrill as a method.
  • Since 14 April 2020 a casino must not accept Skrill money that was loaded from a credit card.
  • Skrill can be fast for withdrawals, but the casino’s own approval step still comes first.

How Skrill works at UK casinos

Skrill is an e-wallet: an online account that holds money separately from your bank, which you top up and then use to pay merchants without typing card details into each site. It began life as Moneybookers and now sits in the same payments group as Neteller and paysafecard. At a casino it behaves like any other e-wallet: you pick Skrill in the cashier, log in to Skrill in a pop-up or redirect, approve the amount and the balance moves across.

Because the casino only sees your Skrill account rather than your bank, some players like it as a buffer. The trade-off is that you now manage two balances, and the casino still has to run full identity checks on you, so Skrill doesn’t make you anonymous. Licensed casinos must verify your name, address and date of birth before you can deposit, which the Gambling Commission’s age and ID guidance (opens in a new tab) spells out.

Skrill accounts hold e-money. That means the money isn’t covered by the bank deposit protection scheme in the way a current account is; e-money firms instead have to safeguard customer balances. For a casino wallet that you top up and empty fairly quickly, the practical risk is small, but it’s a reason not to leave large sums parked in any e-wallet.

Which UK casinos accept Skrill: our five partners checked

We only state that a partner accepts a method when its own help pages or our verified facts file say so. On 5 October 2026 the picture looked like this:

So if Skrill is your preferred wallet, Casumo is the partner with the clearest published support, and its payment methods page is the place to confirm details. At 10bet the help centre groups e-wallets together rather than naming them, so open the cashier before you rely on Skrill there.

A method appearing in a casino’s footer or app store screenshots isn’t proof it works for your account. The cashier, after you log in, shows what is actually available to you.

How to deposit with Skrill at an online casino

The steps are much the same at any UK-licensed site that offers the wallet. Before you start, make sure your Skrill account is in your own name and verified, because a mismatch between the casino account holder and the wallet holder is one of the most common reasons a payment gets blocked.

  1. Log in to the casino and open the cashier (some sites call it Banking or Wallet).
  2. Set or confirm a deposit limit when prompted; since 31 October 2025 casinos must ask before your first deposit.
  3. Choose Skrill from the list of deposit methods and type the amount in pounds.
  4. Sign in to Skrill in the window that opens and approve the payment, including any one-time code.
  5. Return to the casino and check the balance has updated before you open a game.
  6. If you were hoping to claim a welcome offer, reread its terms now: many exclude e-wallet deposits.

Our general deposit guide covers the parts that apply to every method, including what to do if the payment is declined. A Skrill decline is usually down to an unverified wallet, a currency mismatch or a block the casino applies because the wallet was topped up by card it can’t trace.

Withdrawing to Skrill: approval first, then the transfer

Most casinos run a closed-loop policy, meaning winnings go back to the method you deposited with where possible. If you paid in with Skrill, expect to be paid out to the same Skrill account. Our closed loop explainer shows why: it’s an anti-money-laundering control, not a casino preference.

A withdrawal has two clocks. The first is the casino’s internal review, when it checks your identity, any bonus terms and the account history. The second is the payment itself. Skrill is quick on the second clock, which is why Casumo’s homepage says Skrill withdrawals arrive instantly after approval. Casumo’s withdrawal policy (opens in a new tab) also says requests are approved or denied within 3 days, so the realistic window is anywhere from a few hours to three days, depending on the review.

Once the money lands in Skrill you still have to move it to your bank if you want to spend it elsewhere, and that transfer has its own timing and, sometimes, a fee. For a wider comparison, see how long casino withdrawals take and the fastest withdrawal methods.

Skrill casino fees: what the casino charges and what Skrill charges

There are two possible sources of cost. Casino-side, Casumo’s policy says withdrawals of £10 or more are free and those below £10 carry a £3 fee. Skrill-side, the wallet publishes its own fee schedule for things like moving money back to a bank, topping up with some methods and converting currency. Those charges change from time to time, so check Skrill’s current fees page rather than relying on a figure in an old review.

Currency is the trap people miss. If your Skrill wallet is set to euros and the casino account is in pounds, a conversion happens on the way in and again on the way out. Keep the wallet in GBP to avoid that. Our guide to casino payment fees explains how small percentages add up.

Worked example

Suppose you deposit £50 through Skrill, play, and finish with £62. You withdraw £62 to Skrill: no casino fee at Casumo because it’s over £10. If you then send it to your bank and Skrill charges a withdrawal fee, that comes off the £62, not the casino’s side. Had you cashed out just £8, the £3 casino fee would take 37.5% of it, which is why small withdrawals rarely make sense.

Why Skrill deposits often miss casino welcome offers

E-wallets were historically used by bonus hunters who opened many accounts, so several operators exclude them from new-player promotions. Our partners’ published terms, checked on 5 October 2026, show the effect plainly:

Skrill and partner welcome offers
OfferSkrill deposit qualifies? What the terms say
Coral: bet £10 on slots, get 100 free spinsNoNeteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards don’t qualify
Ladbrokes: play £10 on slots, get up to 500 free spinsNoPrepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers excluded
Casumo: 50% bonus up to £100Check the termsGame, play and payment restrictions apply
10bet: 100% bonus up to £25Check the termsNot stated in our offer facts

Notice Ladbrokes names Moneybookers separately, which is simply Skrill’s old name. If a welcome offer matters to you, make the qualifying deposit with a method the terms accept, usually a debit card, and use Skrill later. Our page on bonus payment exclusions at Coral walks through that offer line by line, and why you can’t always use e-wallets for a bonus explains the reasoning.

Is it safe to use Skrill at UK casinos? The credit card rule

Yes, provided the casino is licensed and the wallet is funded from your own debit card or bank. Since 14 April 2020 licensed operators have been barred from taking gambling payments by credit card, and the Commission’s guide to gambling with a credit card (opens in a new tab) says businesses taking e-wallet payments should make sure the money wasn’t loaded from a credit card. Our e-wallet credit card rule page has the detail and dates.

In practice this means a Skrill top-up from a credit card can lead to the casino refusing the deposit, asking questions, or returning funds. It’s simpler to link only a debit card or bank account to the wallet you gamble with. The underlying ban is covered on our credit card ban page.

  • Turn on two-step verification in Skrill and on your casino account.
  • Never let anyone else use your wallet to fund your casino account; it will be blocked.
  • Check the casino on the UK licence register before you link any payment method.

Skrill deposit limits and gambling blocks

Three different limits can affect a Skrill deposit. The casino may cap individual deposits; Skrill sets its own sending limits based on how far your wallet is verified; and you set personal limits. The last one matters most: since 31 October 2025 casinos must prompt you to set a financial limit before your first deposit, and reductions take effect straight away. Our deposit limit rules page has the timeline, and how to set deposit limits shows where the settings live.

One thing worth knowing: a bank’s gambling block stops card payments coded as gambling, but a top-up to Skrill is coded as a wallet top-up, not gambling. Someone relying on a bank block to stay away from casinos should know an e-wallet can sit outside it. Self-exclusion through GAMSTOP covers the casino side instead, and our bank gambling blocks page explains both tools.

Skrill for casino payments: pros and cons

Skrill compared with other UK casino payment methods

If speed is the reason you use Skrill, compare it with what a debit card can now do. Both Entain brands, Coral and Ladbrokes, pay Visa debit withdrawals through Visa Fast Funds, which their help centres describe as typically up to 4 hours after approval. PayPal is the most widely listed e-wallet among our partners, though it shares Skrill’s bonus exclusion at Coral and Ladbrokes. For a head-to-head between the two sister wallets, see Skrill vs Neteller, and the payments hub lists every method we cover.

Best Skrill casinos UK: where our partners fit

No partner offers a Skrill-specific bonus, and we won’t pretend otherwise. Casumo leads the list below because it publishes Skrill for both directions; its welcome offer is a 50% bonus up to £100 on a first deposit of at least £20, with 10x wagering on the bonus within 7 days and a £5 maximum bet while it’s active. 18+, new customers, opt-in required, and payment restrictions apply, so read them before choosing Skrill for that deposit.

Coral and Ladbrokes follow for readers happy to make the first deposit by debit card. Coral gives 100 free spins at 10p each after you deposit and bet £10 on slots (offer runs 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027; spins valid 7 days, no wagering on winnings). Ladbrokes gives up to 500 free spins, 50 a day for 10 days at 10p each, after you deposit and play £10 on slots. 18+, new customers, terms apply, and Skrill deposits don’t qualify for either. The two brands share an operator, so one person may not be able to open new accounts at both.

Casumo is the only partner whose published methods include Skrill for deposits and withdrawals. Coral and Ladbrokes are shown for players willing to use a debit card instead, because their offers exclude Skrill deposits. 18+, terms apply.

Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open a new account with another; check the terms before signing up.

Frequently asked questions

Which UK casinos accept Skrill?

Among our partners, Casumo is the one that publishes Skrill for both deposits and withdrawals. A third-party review lists Skrill as a 10bet deposit method, and 10bet’s help centre mentions e-wallet withdrawals without naming them, so check its cashier. Coral’s and Ladbrokes’ help centres don’t list Skrill at all. Any casino you use should appear on the Gambling Commission register; our licence check guide shows how to confirm that in a couple of minutes before linking a wallet.

Can I get a welcome bonus if I deposit with Skrill?

Often not. Coral’s and Ladbrokes’ new-player offers both name Skrill as an excluded deposit type, and Ladbrokes also names Moneybookers, Skrill’s former brand. Casumo says payment restrictions apply to its 50% match without listing them in our offer facts, so read its terms before depositing. The safe approach is to make the qualifying deposit with a debit card and use Skrill afterwards. Our welcome offer checklist covers the other conditions worth checking first.

How long do Skrill casino withdrawals take?

It depends mostly on the casino’s approval step. Casumo says Skrill withdrawals arrive instantly once approved, and its policy is to approve or deny requests within 3 days, though it describes most as processed within hours. 10bet gives up to 2 business days for e-wallets. After the money reaches Skrill, moving it on to your bank is a separate transfer. For the full picture across methods, read how long casino withdrawals take.

Does Skrill charge fees for gambling transactions?

Skrill sets its own fees, which can apply to some top-up methods, currency conversion and transfers back to a bank; check its current fee page because the figures change. The casino may add its own charge too: Casumo takes £3 from withdrawals below £10 and nothing at £10 or more. Keeping your wallet in pounds avoids conversion costs. Our casino payment fees guide explains where charges hide and whether casino withdrawals are free in general.

Is Skrill safe for online gambling in the UK?

Yes, when used at a UK-licensed casino with a wallet you own and fund from a debit card or bank. The casino still verifies your identity, so using Skrill doesn’t hide your gambling from the operator. Switch on two-step verification in the wallet, and avoid linking a credit card, which licensed casinos must not accept as a funding source. Our casino account security guide covers passwords and phishing, which are the bigger risks in practice.

Can I top up Skrill with a credit card and then gamble?

No, not at a UK-licensed casino. The credit card ban that started on 14 April 2020 covers payments made through a money service business, and the Commission says operators accepting e-wallets should make sure funds weren’t loaded from a credit card. A casino that spots credit-funded wallet money may refuse or return it. Fund the wallet from a debit card or bank account instead. The background is on our credit card ban page and the separate e-wallet rule.

Why was my Skrill casino deposit declined?

The usual reasons are an unverified Skrill account, a name that doesn’t match your casino account, a currency mismatch, a casino-side limit, or a deposit limit you set yourself. Some casinos also block wallet payments while identity checks are outstanding. Start by checking the error message in the cashier, then confirm your Skrill verification status. Our guide to a declined casino deposit lists fixes in order, and casino verification explained covers the document side.

Do I have to withdraw to Skrill if I deposited with it?

Usually yes. Licensed casinos operate closed-loop payments, returning money to the method that funded the account where they can. If you deposited with Skrill, the casino will normally pay Skrill first, up to the amount deposited that way, and may use another method for any excess. If your Skrill account has closed, contact support before requesting a payout. Our withdrawal guide and the closed loop glossary entry explain the rule.

Is Skrill better than PayPal for casinos?

Neither is better across the board. PayPal is listed by more of our partners, including Coral and Ladbrokes, while Skrill is clearly published only at Casumo. Both are excluded from the Coral and Ladbrokes welcome offers. At Casumo both pay out instantly after approval. Choose the one your casino actually supports and that you already use. Our PayPal casinos page and the PayPal vs debit card comparison cover the alternatives.

Can I cancel a Skrill withdrawal and play the money instead?

No. Reverse withdrawals have been banned since 31 October 2021, so a licensed casino can’t offer you the option to cancel a withdrawal request and gamble the balance. That applies whatever method you use, Skrill included. If a withdrawal is pending longer than the casino’s published time, contact support and ask what’s outstanding. Our reverse withdrawal ban page has the rule, and pending withdrawals explained covers what the pending stage involves.
