PayPal casinos UK players can choose from include Coral, Ladbrokes and Casumo, all of which list PayPal for deposits and withdrawals. The appeal is speed: Casumo says PayPal payouts land instantly once approved. The catch is bonuses, because Coral and Ladbrokes exclude PayPal deposits from their welcome offers. Here’s how it all works, checked 20 October 2026.
Coral, Ladbrokes and Casumo list PayPal for deposits and withdrawals; 10bet appears in third-party listings, so check its cashier.
Casumo states PayPal withdrawals arrive instantly after approval; Coral and Ladbrokes need a PayPal deposit in the last 6 months before paying out to PayPal.
PayPal deposits don’t qualify for the Coral or Ladbrokes welcome offers; Casumo says payment restrictions apply.
A PayPal balance topped up from a credit card can’t be used to gamble in Great Britain.

How PayPal casinos UK players use actually work
PayPal sits between your bank and the casino. You log in to PayPal from the casino cashier, approve the payment, and the money moves from your PayPal balance or linked funding source. The casino sees your PayPal account, not your bank or card details, which is the main reason many people like it. When you withdraw, the casino pays into your PayPal balance and you then move it to your bank whenever you choose.
That extra layer is also why PayPal is treated differently in bonus terms and in the rules on credit. It is one of several e-wallets used at UK casinos, alongside Skrill and Neteller. For a broad comparison of every method, start at our payments hub.

Make sure your PayPal account is in the same name as your casino account and is funded from a debit card, bank account or PayPal balance, not a credit card.
Open the casino cashier and pick PayPal. Set a deposit limit first if the casino prompts you; since 31 October 2025 that prompt appears before your first deposit.
Enter the amount. UK deposits are capped at £2,000 each by Coral and Ladbrokes; Casumo’s minimum is £10.
A PayPal window opens: log in and confirm the payment, choosing your debit card or bank as the funding source if asked.
Return to the casino and check that the balance has updated.
Withdrawing to PayPal: speed and the 6-month rule
PayPal’s biggest advantage at UK casinos is the second half of the journey. Once a casino releases a PayPal payout, it typically appears in your PayPal balance far faster than a standard card refund. Casumo publishes this directly: PayPal withdrawals are paid instantly after approval, compared with up to 2 days for cards and up to 5 days for bank transfers.
Coral and Ladbrokes add a condition: their help centres say you can withdraw to PayPal only if you have deposited with PayPal in the last six months. If you haven’t, the payout goes to another method you have used, in line with the closed-loop rule.
Open Withdraw in the cashier and select PayPal.
Enter the amount; at Casumo, keep it at £10 or more to avoid the £3 small-withdrawal fee.
Confirm the request. The reverse withdrawal ban means you won’t be offered a way to cancel it and keep playing.
Supply any documents requested; Casumo’s policy says payouts above roughly €1,000, or cumulative withdrawals above €2,000, may trigger extra verification.
When the money reaches PayPal, transfer it to your bank from the PayPal app.
Why PayPal casino deposits miss welcome offers
This is the question PayPal users ask most. Operators don’t usually explain their exclusions, but e-wallets are commonly excluded because they make it easier to open several accounts with different funding sources and harder to trace who is paying. Whatever the reason, the effect is concrete. Our partner offers, checked on 5 October 2026, treat PayPal as follows (18+, new customers, terms apply):

Is PayPal legal for gambling in the UK? The credit card rule
Yes, using PayPal at a UK-licensed casino is legal. What isn’t allowed is gambling with credit, and since 14 April 2020 that includes credit cards routed through an e-wallet. The Gambling Commission’s guide to gambling using a credit card (opens in a new tab) says a business accepting e-wallets such as PayPal should make sure the money wasn’t loaded from a credit card.
In practice, check which funding source PayPal uses by default. If a credit card is first in the list, the casino or PayPal may decline the payment. Set your debit card or bank account as the preferred source before you deposit. The rule is explained further on our e-wallet credit card rule page and in is it legal to use PayPal for gambling?
PayPal’s own charges: sterling payments between a UK PayPal account and a UK casino don’t normally attract a fee, but currency conversion does. Check PayPal’s fee schedule if your account isn’t in pounds.
Deposit caps: £2,000 per deposit at Coral and Ladbrokes for UK customers.
Account limits: Coral and Ladbrokes allow UK customers three active payment methods in a rolling 30 days, and PayPal counts as one.
Worked example: you win £45 at Casumo and withdraw £45 to PayPal. No casino fee applies because it is over £10, and once approved it is paid instantly to your PayPal balance. Had you withdrawn £8, you would receive £5 after the £3 fee. Our casino payment fees guide covers other charges.

PayPal adds privacy, since the casino never sees your card or bank number, and two-step login on PayPal adds another lock. It does not replace the protections that come from the casino’s licence, so confirm the operator on the Gambling Commission register before depositing. Our licence check guide shows how.
Don’t treat a PayPal dispute as a way to recover money lost through normal play. Raising one on a legitimate gambling transaction can lead to the casino closing your account; our chargebacks guide explains when a dispute is appropriate and when the casino’s complaints process and an approved ADR body are the right route.

Frequently asked questions
Which UK casinos accept PayPal?
Among our partners, Coral, Ladbrokes and Casumo list PayPal for deposits and withdrawals in their help centres or our verified files, and a third-party review lists PayPal at 10bet. PlayOJO’s payment methods aren’t in our verified files, so check its cashier. Many other UK-licensed casinos also take PayPal, but always confirm the licence first. Our partner pages, such as Casumo PayPal, give the details for each site, including any conditions on PayPal withdrawals.
How fast are PayPal casino withdrawals?
Usually very fast once the casino approves them. Casumo states that PayPal withdrawals are paid instantly after approval, and its policy says requests are approved or denied within three days, often within hours. Neither Coral nor Ladbrokes publishes a separate PayPal time but give a general range of instant to five banking days. Moving money from PayPal to your bank is a separate step. Our fastest withdrawal methods guide compares PayPal with cards and bank options.
Why doesn’t PayPal qualify for casino bonuses?
Many operators exclude e-wallets from welcome offers, and Coral and Ladbrokes both list PayPal as a non-qualifying method. Operators rarely explain exclusions, but e-wallets make it easier to fund several accounts and harder to confirm who paid. If you want the Coral 100 free spins or Ladbrokes up to 500 free spins offers, use an eligible debit card for the qualifying deposit. Offers are 18+ and terms apply. See why can’t I use PayPal for the bonus?
Is it legal to use PayPal for gambling in the UK?
Yes, as long as the casino is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and your PayPal account isn’t funded by a credit card. Credit card gambling has been banned since 14 April 2020, and the Commission says businesses accepting e-wallets should make sure funds weren’t loaded from a credit card. Set a debit card or bank account as your PayPal funding source. Our page is it legal to use PayPal for gambling? has more detail.
Can I withdraw to PayPal if I deposited by card?
Often not straight away. Both Entain brands say you can only withdraw to PayPal if you have made a PayPal deposit in the last six months, and most casinos repay the card you deposited with first under the closed-loop rule. If you deposited by card, expect the winnings to go back to that card, at least up to the amount deposited. Our closed loop explainer shows how the order of payouts is usually decided.
Can I use a PayPal account linked to a credit card?
You can hold one, but you mustn’t use the credit card to gamble. Since 14 April 2020 credit cards can’t fund gambling in Great Britain, including through e-wallets. If your PayPal account has a credit card as its default funding source, change it to a debit card or bank account before you deposit, or the payment may be declined. Our e-wallet credit card rule page explains what operators must check and why.
Are there fees for PayPal casino payments?
Usually not from the casino. Coral and Ladbrokes state that they don’t charge withdrawal fees, and Casumo charges only on withdrawals under £10, where a £3 fee applies. PayPal itself may charge for currency conversion if your account isn’t in pounds. Moving money from PayPal to a UK bank account is typically free on a standard transfer, but check PayPal’s current terms. Our are casino withdrawals free? page lists the charges to look for.
Is PayPal safer than a debit card at casinos?
It adds privacy rather than extra legal protection. With PayPal, the casino never sees your card or bank details, and you can add two-step login to the PayPal account. Your protections on withdrawals, fair terms and complaints come from the casino’s UK licence, which applies whichever method you use. A debit card has the advantage of qualifying for more welcome offers. Our PayPal vs debit card comparison sets out the trade-offs in a table.
Can I get my money back through PayPal if I lose?
Not for normal gambling losses. A PayPal dispute is meant for unauthorised payments or genuine errors, not for losing bets you chose to place. Raising one on legitimate play can lead to your casino account being closed and the balance pursued. If you think a casino has treated you unfairly, use its complaints process and then an approved dispute service. Our chargebacks guide and how to complain explain both routes.
What is the minimum PayPal deposit at UK casinos?
It varies by casino and is often shown only in the cashier. Casumo publishes a £10 minimum for all payment methods, including PayPal, though its 50% bonus needs at least £20. Coral and Ladbrokes publish £5 minimums only for Google Pay and Pay by Bank, so check their cashiers for PayPal. Remember that PayPal deposits don’t qualify for the Coral or Ladbrokes welcome offers. See the minimum deposit at UK casinos for typical figures.
