PayPal casino bonus

A PayPal casino bonus is a welcome offer you can trigger with a PayPal deposit, and the catch is that many UK offers exclude PayPal. Of our five partners, Coral and Ladbrokes rule it out by name, while the published key terms of Casumo, 10bet and PlayOJO don't list it as excluded (checked 5 October 2026). Here is how to confirm before you pay, with worked examples. 18+, terms apply.

Key takeaways

  • Coral's and Ladbrokes' welcome spins exclude PayPal deposits by name (terms checked 5 October 2026).
  • Casumo, 10bet and PlayOJO don't list PayPal among exclusions in the key terms we hold, but Casumo says payment restrictions apply: read the full terms.
  • Casumo accepts PayPal for deposits and withdrawals; 10bet's PayPal support comes from a third-party review, so confirm in the cashier.
  • A PayPal balance funded by a credit card can't be used for gambling in Great Britain (since 14 April 2020).

Can you get a casino bonus with PayPal in the UK?

Sometimes. Whether a PayPal deposit triggers a welcome offer depends entirely on that offer's payment terms, and those terms differ between casinos. Some name PayPal as excluded; others say nothing; a few say only that payment restrictions apply. The safe rule is to find the payment clause before you deposit, because a deposit that misses the offer cannot normally be counted afterwards.

This page covers our five licensed partners as of 5 October 2026. For PayPal at UK casinos generally, including fees and speeds, see our PayPal casinos guide. For the full list of dated offers, start from our offers hub.

Coral and Ladbrokes, both run by LC International Limited, accept PayPal for everyday deposits and withdrawals; it is only the welcome spins that a PayPal deposit won't trigger. Our pages on Coral's excluded payment methods and Ladbrokes' excluded payment methods list every method on each exclusion list.

Why some casinos exclude PayPal from bonuses

Casinos rarely publish a reason. The explanations usually given across the industry are practical rather than about PayPal's safety: e-wallets can make it harder to link accounts that belong to the same person, which matters for one-offer-per-household rules, and wallet payments can cost the casino more to process than a card. Whatever the reason, the exclusion is a term of the offer and the casino will apply it.

An exclusion does not mean PayPal is a poor way to pay. It is widely used at UK casinos for deposits and withdrawals, and many players use a card for the qualifying deposit and PayPal afterwards. Our answer to why you can't use PayPal for the bonus looks at this in more depth, and PayPal vs debit card compares the two methods.

How to check whether a PayPal deposit qualifies

  1. Open the offer's full terms, not just the banner, and search the page for 'PayPal', 'e-wallet' and 'payment'.
  2. If PayPal is named as excluded, stop: use a qualifying method for the first deposit or choose a different offer.
  3. If the terms say only that payment restrictions apply, ask live chat or the help centre whether PayPal counts, and keep a copy of the answer.
  4. Check the minimum deposit for the offer: £20 at Casumo, £10 at PlayOJO.
  5. Opt in to the offer if the terms require it; Casumo's does.
  6. Make the deposit with PayPal and check the bonus appears in your account before you play.

PayPal casino bonus maths: Casumo and 10bet worked through

Assuming your PayPal deposit is confirmed as qualifying, these are the numbers. Both match bonuses carry 10x wagering on the bonus amount, the most a UK-licensed casino has been allowed to set since 19 January 2026.

Casumo: 50% up to £100

Casumo 50% match at different deposits
DepositBonus (50%)Wagering (10x bonus)Time to wagerMax bet with bonus

£50£25£2507 days£5
£100£50£5007 days£5
£200£100£1,0007 days£5

At the top end, £1,000 of wagering at the £5 maximum bet is at least 200 spins; at a more typical £1 a spin it is 1,000 spins inside 7 days. Game, play and payment restrictions also apply. The Casumo bonus terms page has the detail, and our page on the 50% casino bonus puts it in context.

10bet: 100% up to £25

10bet 100% match at different deposits
DepositBonus (100%)Wagering (10x on slots)Time to wagerMax bonus winnings
£10£10£1003 days£1,000
£20£20£2003 days£1,000
£25£25£2503 days£1,000

10bet asks you to choose the casino welcome bonus at sign-up and make the first deposit within 7 days. The 3-day wagering window is short, so plan your play before depositing. See the 10bet bonus terms and our wagering calculator to test other amounts.

PayPal and the UK credit card rule

Credit cards have been banned for gambling in Great Britain since 14 April 2020. The ban covers credit card money that reaches a casino through a payment service such as an e-wallet. The Gambling Commission's consumer guide to gambling with a credit card (opens in a new tab) says businesses accepting e-wallets should make sure the funds were not loaded from a credit card.

In practice, if your PayPal account pays from a linked credit card, the casino payment should fail or be refused. Set your bank account or debit card as the funding source for gambling payments. The credit card ban and the rule on credit-card-funded e-wallets explain the background.

Withdrawing bonus winnings to PayPal

Once wagering is complete, bonus winnings become cash and can be withdrawn like any other balance. Most UK casinos follow a closed-loop policy, sending money back to the method you deposited with where possible.

If PayPal is excluded: options that still work

  • Use a debit card for the qualifying deposit. Coral, Ladbrokes, Casumo and 10bet all list debit cards (check PlayOJO's cashier), though Coral excludes certain debit cards from its offer, so check its list. Our debit card casino bonus page goes through this.
  • Try Apple Pay where accepted. Coral, Ladbrokes and Casumo accept Apple Pay, and a third-party review lists it at 10bet; check whether the offer counts it. See the Apple Pay casino bonus page.
  • Pick an offer that doesn't exclude PayPal. The three offers on this page are the candidates among our partners.
  • Keep payment methods simple. Coral and Ladbrokes allow up to three active payment methods in a rolling 30 days in the UK, so adding several methods to chase an offer can block you later.

Never use someone else's PayPal account or card to deposit. Coral's and Ladbrokes' deposit help pages require payment methods in your own name, as UK casinos generally do, and a mismatch can cause problems with the bonus and with withdrawals. See using someone else's card.

UK rules behind every PayPal casino bonus

Three rules apply whatever payment method you use. First, wagering is capped at 10 times the bonus since 19 January 2026, set out in the Commission's code on rewards and bonuses (opens in a new tab), which also requires terms to be clear, fair and easy to find. Second, a single offer can no longer mix casino with betting or bingo. Third, since 31 October 2025 casinos must prompt you to set a financial limit before your first deposit, and setting one is the default.

These sit alongside consumer-law commitments that large operators gave the Competition and Markets Authority in 2018, including clearer bonus terms and the right to withdraw your own deposit while a bonus is active at the firms concerned. Our page on bonus terms rules explains both sets.

PayPal bonus mistakes to avoid

  1. Depositing with PayPal first and asking for the bonus afterwards; most offers apply only to the first qualifying deposit.
  2. Forgetting to opt in where the terms require it, as Casumo's do.
  3. Missing short wagering windows such as 10bet's 3 days.
  4. Betting above £5 a spin with an active Casumo bonus, which breaks its maximum bet term.
  5. Funding PayPal from a credit card, which UK-licensed casinos cannot accept.

Our guide to common welcome bonus mistakes covers more pitfalls.

Where to look for a PayPal casino bonus

The three offers below don't name PayPal as an excluded method in the key terms we hold, which makes them the closest our partners come to a PayPal casino bonus. Casumo gives 50% up to £100 on a first deposit of at least £20, wagered 10x within 7 days with a £5 maximum bet; 10bet gives 100% up to £25, wagered 10x on slots within 3 days; PlayOJO gives 80 spins at 10p on a first deposit of £10 or more, with no wagering. All are for new customers aged 18 or over and terms apply. Confirm PayPal qualifies in each full set of terms before depositing.

Frequently asked questions

Which UK casinos give a bonus for PayPal deposits?

Among our five partners, Casumo, 10bet and PlayOJO don't name PayPal as an excluded method in the key terms we checked on 5 October 2026, but you should confirm in each casino's full terms; Casumo states that payment restrictions apply. Coral and Ladbrokes exclude PayPal deposits from their welcome spins by name, although both accept PayPal for normal play. Other licensed casinos vary. Our PayPal casinos guide explains how the method works, and new PayPal casinos explains why we don't list unverified sites.

Why can't I use PayPal for a casino welcome bonus?

Because the casino has written PayPal into the offer's excluded payment methods, which is common in the UK. Operators rarely give the reason, but the usual explanations are practical: e-wallets can make it harder to match accounts to one person, and they can cost more to process. The exclusion applies only to the bonus; you can usually still deposit and withdraw with PayPal. Use a qualifying method for the first deposit if you want the offer. Our answer to why PayPal is excluded covers this, and Coral's exclusions show a real list.

Can I get the Coral or Ladbrokes free spins with PayPal?

No. Both offers list PayPal among the deposit methods that don't qualify, alongside Neteller, Skrill, Paysafe and prepaid cards; Coral also excludes certain debit cards, and Ladbrokes adds Moneybookers. A PayPal deposit is still accepted for normal play at both casinos, but it won't trigger the 100 spins at Coral or the up to 500 spins at Ladbrokes. If you want either offer, make your qualifying deposit with an accepted debit card or another method not on the list. See Coral PayPal and Ladbrokes PayPal for details.

Is it legal to fund casino play with PayPal in the UK?

Yes. Using PayPal at a casino licensed by the Gambling Commission is legal, and many UK casinos accept it for deposits and withdrawals. The one restriction is that the money must not come from a credit card: since 14 April 2020 licensed businesses cannot accept credit card payments for gambling, including through an e-wallet. Set a bank account or debit card as your PayPal funding source for gambling. Read is it legal to use PayPal for gambling and the credit card ban for the detail.

How much wagering does a PayPal casino bonus have?

No more than 10 times the bonus at a UK-licensed casino since 19 January 2026, whatever payment method you use. At Casumo, a £20 PayPal deposit that qualifies would bring a £10 bonus needing £100 of wagering within 7 days. At 10bet, a £25 deposit brings a £25 bonus needing £250 of wagering on slots within 3 days. Offers quoting 35x or more are either out of date or not from a UK-licensed site. Use our wagering calculator for other amounts, and read how to calculate wagering for the method.

Does Casumo accept PayPal for its welcome bonus?

Casumo accepts PayPal for deposits and withdrawals on its UK site, and PayPal is not named as an excluded method in the key terms we hold. However, Casumo says game, play and payment restrictions apply to the 50% bonus, so check the full terms or ask support before you deposit. The offer needs a first deposit of at least £20 and an opt-in, gives 50% up to £100, and must be wagered 10 times within 7 days with a £5 maximum bet. See Casumo PayPal and Casumo bonus payment exclusions.

Can I withdraw bonus winnings to PayPal?

Usually yes, once any wagering is complete and the casino supports PayPal withdrawals. Casumo says PayPal withdrawals are paid instantly after approval, with approval within 3 days under its policy and a £3 fee only on withdrawals under £10. Coral and Ladbrokes pay to PayPal if you deposited with PayPal in the last 6 months, and charge no withdrawal fees. 10bet quotes up to 2 business days for e-wallets. For PlayOJO, check the cashier. See how to withdraw casino winnings and are casino withdrawals free.

What happens if I deposit with PayPal by mistake?

If PayPal is excluded, the deposit will usually go through as normal play but won't trigger the welcome offer, and most offers apply only to the first qualifying deposit, so a later card deposit may not fix it. Contact support straight away and ask whether anything can be done; the answer depends on the casino and its terms. Don't open a second account to try again, because that breaks the rules at UK casinos. Our pages on multiple casino accounts and breaking bonus terms explain the risks.

Is PayPal or a debit card better for casino bonuses?

For claiming welcome offers, a debit card is the safer choice because it qualifies at more offers; Coral and Ladbrokes, for example, exclude PayPal but accept most debit cards, though Coral excludes certain debit cards. PayPal keeps your bank details away from the casino and can be quick for withdrawals where supported. Many players use a card for the qualifying deposit and PayPal later, but keep in mind the limit of three active payment methods in a rolling 30 days at Coral and Ladbrokes. See PayPal vs debit card and debit card casinos.
