Casumo welcome bonus terms come down to six conditions: a 50% match up to £100 on your first deposit, a £20 minimum deposit, an opt-in, 10x wagering on the bonus within 7 days, a £5 maximum bet while the bonus is active, and game, play and payment restrictions. Below, each one is explained in pounds, with the questions to check in the full terms before you deposit.
The bonus is 50% of your first deposit, capped at £100, so a £200 deposit reaches the maximum.
You wager the bonus amount, not the deposit, 10 times within 7 days: £10 of bonus means £100 of play.
Bets above £5 while the bonus is active break the terms, and game and payment restrictions apply.
10x is the most a UK casino can ask for since 19 January 2026, so Casumo’s wagering sits at the legal ceiling.

How the 50% match is calculated
The match is a straight percentage of your first deposit, with a ceiling. Deposit £20 and you get £10; deposit £200 and you get the full £100. Anything above £200 adds nothing more to the bonus but still counts as your own money. Our 50% casino bonus page compares this structure with other match levels.

The last column is the most practical. If your normal week of play is £100 of total stakes, a £20 deposit fits; a £200 deposit would need roughly ten times your usual activity, which is exactly the kind of extra play a bonus shouldn’t push you into. Pick the deposit that matches your budget, not the one that maximises the headline.
Casumo wagering requirements: 10x the bonus in 7 days
Wagering is the total amount you must stake before bonus money, and what it wins, becomes withdrawable. Casumo’s term says the bonus is wagered 10 times, so the deposit itself isn’t multiplied. That matters: on a £100 deposit, 10x the bonus is £500, while 10x deposit plus bonus would be £1,500.
Every pound staked on a slot loses a little on average, the house edge. At an RTP of 96%, £500 of wagering costs about £20 on average, so a £50 bonus is worth roughly £30 in expected terms after wagering. With a lower RTP, the cost rises. Use the wagering calculator to try your own numbers, and see how to calculate wagering for the method.
Expected values describe long-run averages. In a single week you may finish ahead, finish behind, or run out of balance before wagering is complete.
The 7-day deadline: what happens when it runs out
Casumo gives you 7 days to complete the 10x wagering. The summary terms don’t spell out what happens to unfinished wagering, but across the UK market the usual result is that the remaining bonus and any winnings linked to it are removed, while your own deposited cash stays yours. Check Casumo’s full terms for the exact treatment, and see our bonus expiry guide for how this generally works.
Note the date and time your bonus was credited; day 7 ends at that point a week later unless the terms say otherwise.
Divide the total wagering by the days you realistically plan to play, not by seven.
Check progress in your account’s bonus area after each session.
If you won’t finish comfortably, consider forfeiting the bonus rather than speeding up your play.
Remember a reality check or session reminder can help keep sessions to the length you planned.
The Commission removed provisions that tied a reward’s value to gambling at a set frequency when it brought in the 2026 changes. A 7-day completion window is still allowed, but it shouldn’t become a reason to play more often than you otherwise would.
The £5 maximum bet and the UK slot stake limits
While the bonus is active, Casumo caps each bet at £5. On slots, that happens to match the legal £5 per spin limit for players aged 25 and over, in force since 9 April 2025. If you are aged 18 to 24, the £2 slot stake limit from 21 May 2025 is lower than Casumo’s bonus cap, so £2 is your real ceiling on slots whether or not you have a bonus.
The bonus cap also applies to non-slot games where they are eligible. A £10 blackjack hand with an active bonus would break the term even though no legal stake limit applies to table games. The Commission’s stake limit guidance (opens in a new tab) covers the legal side; our max bet rule explained covers the bonus side.

Game, play and payment restrictions in Casumo’s bonus terms
Casumo’s summary says three kinds of restriction apply but doesn’t list them, so this is where reading the full terms pays off. Here is what each kind usually means and what to look for.
Game restrictions
Some games either can’t be played with bonus money or count less than 100% towards wagering. Table games, live dealer games and high-RTP slots are the usual candidates. Our game weighting explained guide shows how a 10% weighting turns £100 of wagering into £1,000 of actual stakes, and why some games are excluded explains the operator’s side.
Play restrictions
These cover patterns of play the operator treats as bonus abuse, such as low-risk betting on both outcomes of a game. Breaking them can void the bonus and related winnings. Our bonus abuse explained page lists common examples.
Payment restrictions
Certain deposit methods may not qualify. The summary doesn’t name them, so check before you pay. The Casumo bonus payment exclusions page and our Casumo PayPal guide cover the methods most often affected.
Questions to answer from the full Casumo terms before depositing
The summary terms answer the main questions, but a few points are only settled in the full text. Answering these before you deposit avoids surprises.
Which games contribute to wagering, and at what percentage?
Which deposit methods are excluded from the offer?
Is the bonus kept separate from your cash, and which balance is used first?
Can you withdraw your own cash before wagering is complete, and what happens to the bonus if you do?
Is there any cap on winnings from the bonus? Our summary doesn’t mention one.
What happens to unfinished wagering when the 7 days end?
UK rules require bonus terms to be clear, transparent, fair and readily accessible. Those principles come partly from the Competition and Markets Authority, whose online gambling investigation (opens in a new tab) led to undertakings on bonus terms in 2018, and partly from the Commission’s licence conditions. Casumo is run by Recro Limited, UKGC account 61549, so these rules apply to it.
On the published summary, Casumo’s terms sit at the legal maximum for wagering, use a single product (casino only, so no mixed-product issue), and state the key numbers plainly. Whether a term is fair in an individual dispute is for the operator’s complaints process and then an independent adjudicator to decide; our bonus terms rules page explains the framework and our Casumo complaints guide covers the route.
A Casumo welcome bonus worked from start to finish

Notes
Deposit £40 after opting in
£40 cash + £20 bonus
50% of £40 = £20
Wagering target set

7 days to finish
Day 1: £70 staked on eligible slots at 50p to £1 a spin
£130 still to wager
Well under the £5 cap
Day 3: £80 staked
£50 still to wager
Balance moves up and down with results
Day 5: £50 staked
Wagering complete
Remaining bonus-related balance becomes withdrawable, subject to full terms
If the balance had run out on day 3, the bonus would simply have ended there. That is the most common outcome with any deposit bonus, which is why a bonus should only ever stretch money you were already happy to spend.
Casumo’s welcome bonus and a no-wagering alternative
Casumo, first: new customers aged 18+ who opt in and deposit at least £20 receive a 50% bonus up to £100. The bonus must be wagered 10 times within 7 days, bets are capped at £5 while it is active, and game, play and payment restrictions apply. Checked 5 October 2026.
PlayOJO, second: for readers who would rather avoid wagering entirely, new UK customers (excluding Northern Ireland) get 80 spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p each with a £10 first deposit, and winnings are paid in cash. It can’t be combined with other offers and is claimed through the designated link. Our PlayOJO welcome bonus terms page breaks those down. 18+, terms apply to both, and losses are likely over time.
Casumo’s 50% match is the offer these terms describe, so it is shown first. PlayOJO’s 80 no-wagering spins are listed as the contrast for readers who would rather avoid wagering altogether. 18+, terms apply.

Frequently asked questions
What are the Casumo welcome bonus terms?
Casumo’s welcome bonus is a 50% match up to £100 on your first deposit, for new customers aged 18+. You must opt in, deposit at least £20, wager the bonus 10 times within 7 days and keep each bet at £5 or less while the bonus is active. Game, play and payment restrictions also apply, so read the full terms in the cashier. These terms were checked on 5 October 2026. Our latest Casumo offer page tracks any changes.
How much do I need to wager for the Casumo bonus?
You need to wager 10 times the bonus amount, not the deposit. A £20 deposit gives a £10 bonus and needs £100 of wagering; a £200 deposit gives the maximum £100 bonus and needs £1,000. This must be completed within 7 days of the bonus being credited. If some games count less than 100%, you’ll need to stake more on those games to reach the target. Our wagering requirement glossary entry explains the term in plain language.
What is the minimum deposit for the Casumo welcome bonus?
The minimum first deposit for Casumo’s welcome bonus is £20. Casumo accepts deposits from £10 with any method, but a £10 to £19 first deposit won’t trigger the 50% match. A £20 deposit produces a £10 bonus. If you are unsure, it is better to deposit the amount you planned to spend anyway than to stretch to a larger sum for a bigger bonus. Our Casumo minimum deposit page covers both thresholds and the payment methods.
What is the maximum bet with a Casumo bonus?
The maximum bet is £5 per bet while a Casumo bonus is active. Bets above that can put the bonus and any winnings from it at risk. On slots, legal limits also apply: £5 per spin for players aged 25 and over and £2 per spin for players aged 18 to 24, so younger players are capped at £2 on slots in any case. On eligible table games, Casumo’s £5 bonus cap is the limit. Our max bet glossary entry explains why casinos set this rule.
Does the Casumo bonus need a promo code?
No, the Casumo welcome bonus doesn’t need a promo code. You claim it by opting in, which you do before or while making a first deposit of at least £20. If you forget to opt in, contact support straight away, but don’t count on the bonus being added afterwards. None of our partner casinos uses codes for their current welcome offers. Our Casumo promo code page walks through the opt-in and explains why codes have largely disappeared from UK welcome deals.
Can I withdraw before finishing Casumo’s wagering?
You can always withdraw your own cash at a UK-licensed casino, but doing so before finishing wagering will usually end the bonus. The exact treatment, including whether bonus-related winnings are lost, is set by Casumo’s full terms, which our summary doesn’t cover. Read that section before you deposit if you think you might want to stop early. Under UK rules a casino can’t stop you withdrawing your own money without good reason. See can I withdraw a casino bonus for how this usually works.
Which games count towards Casumo’s wagering?
Casumo’s summary terms say game restrictions apply but don’t list the games, so check the full terms or the bonus section of your account. At UK casinos, slots usually count 100% towards wagering, while table games and live dealer games often count less or are excluded. A game counting 10% means £10 of stakes clears just £1 of wagering. Look for the contribution list before you start. Our game weighting glossary entry gives worked examples of how contributions change the real target.
Is 10x wagering good?
10x is the highest wagering a UK casino can set since 19 January 2026, so it is the legal ceiling rather than a generous figure. It is far lower than the 35x to 50x that was common before the cap, and Casumo applies it to the bonus only, not deposit plus bonus. Offers with lower wagering or none at all, such as PlayOJO’s cash-paid spins, are simpler still. Our page on what a fair wagering requirement is compares typical levels and how they affect value.
What happens if I break Casumo’s bonus terms?
If you break a bonus term, such as betting more than £5 with an active bonus or playing an excluded game, Casumo can remove the bonus and winnings linked to it under its terms. Your own deposited money should not be taken simply because you broke a bonus rule, though the full terms set out the detail. If you think a term was applied unfairly, complain to Casumo first and then to an independent adjudicator. Our page on what happens if you break bonus terms explains the usual consequences.
Can I get the Casumo bonus if I had an account before?
No, Casumo’s welcome bonus is for new customers only. If you have held a Casumo account before, including one you closed, you are not a new customer for the offer. Opening a second account to claim it again would break the terms and could lead to both accounts being closed. If you previously self-excluded, the account should stay closed until the exclusion ends. Our guide on multiple casino accounts explains why one account per person is the rule.
