Casino prize draws are promotions where you collect entries, usually by staking on set games, and winners are picked at random for prizes such as cash, spins or physical items. At a UK-licensed casino the terms must state how to enter, how many prizes there are and how winners are chosen. Your chance depends on your share of all entries, which this page shows you how to work out.
Your chance of winning a casino prize draw is your entries divided by everyone’s entries, which is usually small.
Most draws award tickets for staking, so extra entries cost real money and carry the house edge.
Bonus prizes carry 10x wagering at most since 19 January 2026, and a draw can’t mix casino with betting or bingo.
Coral’s and Ladbrokes’ app listings describe prize games such as Rewards Grabber and a daily prize wheel.
Giveaways promoted by unknown social media accounts are a common scam; real draws appear inside your casino account.

What are casino prize draws?
A casino prize draw is a promotion that gives account holders entries into a random draw for one or more prizes. Entries are typically earned by staking on featured games (for example, one ticket for every £10 staked on a named slot), by opting in, or through prize games such as wheels and pick-a-box screens. At the end of the promotion the casino draws winners at random from all valid entries.
Giveaways are a looser label for the same idea, often used when the prize is a physical item, an event ticket or a batch of spins. Prize draws differ from casino tournaments because results aren’t ranked: a player with one entry can win while a player with a hundred doesn’t. They also differ from fixed offers because you don’t know in advance whether you’ll receive anything. Our hub of casino offers and bonus guides covers both.

The most common format at UK casinos is tickets for stakes. It is also the one that most needs a clear head, because every extra ticket costs money that is exposed to the house edge. A draw that awards one ticket per £10 staked on a 96% RTP slot costs, on average, 40p per ticket in expected losses, before you count the chance of winning anything.
Casino prize draw odds: working out your real chance
Your chance of winning at least one prize is roughly your entries divided by the total entries, multiplied by the number of prizes (for small shares). Casinos rarely publish total entries in advance, so you have to estimate, but the arithmetic shows the scale.

If the 10 prizes are worth £50 each, the total pool is £500, and a 1% share of entries is worth about £5 on average. The player with 200 entries has spent an average £80 on play to earn that £5 share. Prize draws therefore only make sense as a bonus on play you would make anyway. Our guide to understanding casino odds explains how to compare probabilities like these.
These figures are illustrations, not any casino’s draw. The real numbers depend on the draw terms, the game’s RTP and how many people take part.
Types of prizes in casino prize draws and giveaways
Cash prizes. Paid to your balance and withdrawable under normal cashier rules. Gambling winnings, including draw prizes from a licensed casino, are not taxed for UK players.
Bonus funds. Credited as bonus money; since 19 January 2026 any wagering can’t exceed 10x. A £25 bonus prize could need up to £250 of play. See how wagering requirements work.
Free spins with a stated value. Usually at a fixed value such as 10p each on named slots; winnings may be paid as cash or bonus.
Physical prizes and experiences. Gadgets, holidays or event tickets. The terms should say whether a cash alternative is offered and how delivery works.
Draw entries into a bigger draw. Some promotions use a two-stage format, where weekly winners enter a final draw.
Log in to your casino account and find the draw on the promotions page or in the app. Don’t enter through a link in an unexpected message.
Read the terms: entry method, eligible games, maximum entries, number and value of prizes, draw date and how winners are told.
Opt in if the terms require it; entries before opting in usually don’t count.
Decide your total spend for the period first, and keep your deposit limit at or below it.
Play only as you normally would. Don’t increase stakes to collect tickets.
After the draw, check the promotions page or your messages for results and any claim deadline.
If you win a bonus prize, check its wagering, expiry and maximum bet before playing it.

Coral
Rewards Grabber, Coral Coins and free-to-play games with real-money prizes (app listing)
Prize games that need no stake, such as a daily wheel, are the lowest-cost way to take part in prize promotions. They are available only after age verification, which has applied to free-to-play casino games since May 2019. The Coral casino app and Ladbrokes casino app pages describe the apps themselves.
Fake casino giveaways and how to spot them
“Giveaways” are a favourite tool of scammers, because the promise of a prize makes people act quickly. Common versions include social media accounts copying a casino’s name and logo, messages saying you’ve won and need to “verify” by logging in through a link, and comments offering spins in exchange for a deposit to an unknown site.
Advantages
The draw appears inside your account on the casino’s own site or app.
Terms name the operator and state how winners are chosen and contacted.
Prizes are credited to your account, not sent via a third party.
The operator appears on the Gambling Commission register.
Drawbacks
A message says you’ve won a draw you never entered.
You’re asked for your password, card number or a fee to release a prize.
Incentive rules. Prize draws run by licensed casinos are incentives under SR code 5.1.1, so the terms must be clear and fair.
One product per promotion (since 19 January 2026). A casino draw can’t give entries for sports bets or bingo tickets as well as casino play. See the mixed-product promotions ban.
10x wagering cap (since 19 January 2026) on any bonus prize. See the 10x wagering cap.
No faster-play rewards. An incentive’s value or receipt can’t be changed because the qualifying activity is completed in less than the full offer period.
Marketing choices. Draws promoted by email or SMS should reach you only if you opted in to casino marketing on that channel, under the rules in force since 1 May 2025. See marketing consent rules.
Self-exclusion and harm. Self-excluded customers must be removed from marketing, and operators must stop new bonus take-up for customers showing strong signs of harm.
Prize draws, giveaways and keeping a budget
Prize draws can make extra play feel purposeful: each £10 staked becomes “another ticket”. That framing is worth resisting. The ticket has a small chance of a prize; the stake has a near-certain average cost through the house edge. Gambling is entertainment that costs money, and a draw doesn’t change that.
If you notice you’re collecting entries beyond your plan, lower your deposit limit (decreases apply immediately), set a reality check or take a time-out. Free support is available from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, open 24/7.

Frequently asked questions
How do casino prize draws work?
Casino prize draws give you entries, often one ticket for each set amount staked on featured games, and pick winners at random from all entries when the promotion ends. Prizes can be cash, bonus funds, spins or physical items. You usually opt in first, and the terms must explain entry, prizes and how winners are chosen. Since 19 January 2026, bonus prizes can’t carry more than 10x wagering. See how casino promotions work for the bigger picture.
What are my chances of winning a casino prize draw?
Roughly your entries divided by the total entries, times the number of prizes. With 10 entries out of 20,000 and 10 prizes, your chance of winning one is about 1 in 200. Because most entries come from staking, more tickets mean more spending, and each £10 staked on a 96% RTP slot costs about 40p on average. Casinos rarely publish total entries in advance. Our guide to understanding casino odds shows how to compare probabilities.
Can I enter a casino prize draw without depositing?
Sometimes. Prize wheels and free-to-play prize games don’t require a stake, though you need a verified account, since free-to-play casino games have required age verification since May 2019. Draws that award tickets for staking or depositing need real-money play. The terms state whether any no-stake route exists. Coral’s and Ladbrokes’ app listings mention prize games of this kind. See free to play casino games for how they work.
Are casino prize draw winnings taxed?
No. UK players don’t pay tax on gambling winnings, and prizes won through a licensed casino’s draw fall within that. The operator pays Remote Gaming Duty on its profits, which rose to 40% on 1 April 2026. If you later invest the money, any interest or returns may be taxable in the usual way. For physical prizes, check the terms on delivery and any cash alternative. Our page on tax on casino winnings explains more.
Do casino prize draw bonus prizes have wagering?
They can. If a prize is paid as bonus funds, the terms may attach wagering, but since 19 January 2026 that can’t exceed 10x at a UK-licensed casino. A £20 bonus prize would therefore need at most £200 of further play. Cash prizes have no wagering. Spins may pay winnings as cash or bonus depending on the terms. Check the prize form before you opt in. The how to read bonus terms guide shows where these details sit.
How do I know a casino giveaway is genuine?
A genuine draw from a licensed casino appears inside your account on the casino’s own website or app, with terms naming the operator. Be wary of social media accounts, texts or emails saying you’ve won something you didn’t enter, or asking for your password, card details or a fee. Check the operator on the Gambling Commission’s public register, and go to the site directly rather than through a link. Our guide on how to spot a fake casino lists more signs.
Does Coral run prize draws?
Coral runs promotions for account holders that change frequently, so we don’t track individual draws. The Coral casino app listing describes Rewards Grabber, Coral Coins and free-to-play games with real-money prizes, which is where prize promotions tend to appear. Look at the promotions area while logged in for current terms. The Coral offer we check is a new-player deal: bet £10 on slots to get 100 spins at 10p. See Coral promotions for an overview.
Can a casino prize draw require a sports bet?
Not at a UK-licensed casino since 19 January 2026. From that date, an incentive can’t include more than one type of gambling product, so a promotion can’t require you to bet on sport, play bingo or buy lottery tickets as well as play casino games to enter or qualify. Draws that mix products were common before the change. If you see one at a UK site now, query it with the operator. Our mixed-product promotions ban page explains the rule.
What happens if I win a physical prize?
The draw terms should explain how winners are contacted, how long you have to claim, how delivery works and whether a cash alternative is offered. Casinos normally contact winners through your account messages or registered email, and may ask you to confirm your identity and address, which they should already hold. Never pay a fee to release a prize. If a prize isn’t delivered as promised, follow the casino’s complaints process. Our guide on how to complain about a casino sets out the steps.
Are casino prize draws worth entering?
Only when the entries come from play you would make anyway, or from no-stake prize games. Collecting extra tickets by staking more is usually poor value: in a draw where a 1% share of entries is worth about £5 on average, earning that share might cost £80 of average losses. Treat draws as a small bonus, not a goal, and keep your deposit limit in place. Our guide to setting a gambling budget helps put a number on it.
