Free spins for existing customers

Free spins for existing customers are spin offers aimed at people who already hold an account, such as opt-in slot promotions, prize wheels, app rewards and targeted emails. They are real, but they vary by casino and by account, and since 19 January 2026 any wagering on their winnings is capped at 10x. Here is how to find them and judge them.

Key takeaways

  • Existing-customer spins come in several forms: opt-in promotions, targeted messages, free-to-play wheels and games, and loyalty rewards.
  • They are often personalised, so the spins in your account may differ from what another player sees.
  • Targeted offers reach you only through the products and channels you opted in to since 1 May 2025.
  • All five partner offers we checked on 5 October 2026 are for new customers; existing-customer spins sit on each brand’s promotions page.

What counts as free spins for existing customers?

Free spins for existing customers are any spins a casino gives to an account holder after the welcome offer, either for meeting a condition (such as staking £20 on a featured slot) or as a prize or reward. The word “free” describes the spins, not the route to them: most existing-player spins still depend on a deposit, a stake, an opt-in or a game of chance.

Casinos use them to keep customers playing after sign-up, so they appear in places a newcomer might not look: the promotions tab while logged in, the app’s rewards area, your inbox and in-game messages. Our parent hub of casino offers and bonus guides shows where these sit among the other offer types, and latest offers for existing customers tracks the wider category.

The main types of free spins for existing players

Existing-customer spins fall into a handful of patterns. Knowing which one you’re looking at tells you what you have to do and where the catch, if any, is likely to be.

Common existing-customer spin formats at UK casinos
FormatHow you get the spinsWhat to check
Opt-in stake promotionOpt in, then stake a set amount on a featured slotMinimum stake, eligible games, when spins are credited
Deposit-triggered spinsDeposit a minimum during the offer windowExcluded payment methods, maximum spins, expiry
Targeted message offerSent by email, SMS or app inbox to your accountWhether you opted in to that channel, offer dates
Prize wheel or free-to-play gameSpin a wheel or play a no-stake game; spins may be a prizeAge verification, prize rules, how often you can play
Loyalty or reward-currency spinsExchange points or coins earned from playExchange rate, points expiry, wagering on winnings
Tournament or prize-draw prizesFinish high on a leaderboard or win a drawScoring rules, prize form, claim deadline

Some of these overlap with formats we cover separately: daily free spins, casino tournaments and casino prize draws.

Why your existing-customer spins differ from other players’

Two people with accounts at the same casino can log in on the same day and see different spin offers. That surprises many players, but it is normal practice and not a sign of a fault. Three things drive it.

  1. Your marketing choices. Since 1 May 2025, LCCP 5.1.12 (opens in a new tab) has required casino, betting and bingo operators to let you opt in per product and per channel (email, SMS, phone), with opt-out as the default. If you declined casino marketing, targeted spins won’t be sent to you.
  2. How you use the site. Operators personalise offers by product and game type. Someone who mainly plays live roulette may never see slot spins.
  3. Safer gambling duties. Under customer interaction rules, when an operator sees strong indicators of harm it must stop marketing to that customer and stop new bonus take-up. Missing offers can be the system working as intended.

None of this affects your right to withdraw your balance or the terms of any offer you have already accepted. Our page on casino email and SMS offers explains what operators can and can’t send.

How to value free spins for existing customers

The quickest way to compare offers is to convert spins into pounds of play and then account for any wagering. Spin value multiplied by number of spins gives the stake value; the slot’s RTP gives a rough average return; wagering reduces it further.

Worked values for typical existing-customer spin offers (illustrative 96% RTP)
OfferStake value of spinsAverage return at 96%Wagering on winningsWhat you must do first
20 spins at 10p for staking £20£2About £1.92NoneStake £20 of your own money
50 spins at 20p for depositing £30£10About £9.6010x (max allowed)Deposit £30
10 spins at 10p from a prize wheel£1About £0.96NonePlay the wheel (no stake)
25 spins at 10p for 500 loyalty points£2.50About £2.40NoneEarn the points through play

The table shows why the condition matters more than the spins. In the first row you stake £20 to receive £2 of spins: at a 4% house edge, the £20 itself costs about 80p on average, so the spins are worth taking only if you would have played that £20 anyway. In the second, £9.60 of average winnings with 10x wagering needs up to £96 of further play, which carries its own expected cost of about £3.84. Our bonus value guide shows the full method.

Where to find free spins for existing customers

Existing-player offers aren’t usually advertised on the logged-out homepage. These are the places to look, in order of how often they hold something.

  1. Log in and open the promotions or offers tab; many sites show only account-specific offers once you’re signed in.
  2. Check the app’s rewards or inbox area, which sometimes lists offers not shown on the website.
  3. Look at your email and SMS, but only if you opted in to casino marketing on that channel.
  4. Open any free-to-play games or prize wheels; their rules list the prizes, which can include spins.
  5. Read the loyalty or rewards page if the casino has one, to see whether points can be exchanged for spins.
  6. Before accepting anything, open the full terms and note the qualifying stake or deposit, eligible games, spin value, expiry and wagering.

Existing-customer spins at our partner casinos

We check the five partners’ new-customer offers; their existing-customer promotions change too often to track reliably, so we point to where each brand lists them. The features below come from the brands’ app store listings and our facts files, not from a live promotions check.

UK rules on free spins for existing customers

The rules that govern welcome offers apply equally to offers for existing customers. Social responsibility code 5.1.1 (opens in a new tab) covers any incentive or reward scheme, so these points hold for every spin offer in your account.

  • 10x wagering cap on bonus winnings since 19 January 2026. See the 10x wagering cap.
  • One product per offer since the same date: a casino spin offer can’t require a sports bet or bingo ticket to qualify.
  • No faster-play rewards: an offer can’t change in value because you meet its condition sooner than the full offer period.
  • Clear, fair, accessible terms before you opt in.
  • Slot stake limits of £5 per spin for over-25s and £2 for 18–24s apply to any paid spins you make to qualify.
  • GAMSTOP and self-exclusion: self-excluded customers must be removed from marketing.

If a spin offer seems to break one of these, raise it with the casino first and then use the complaints and ADR route.

Existing-customer spin offers to treat with caution

Advantages

  • Spins with no wagering pay winnings as cash you can withdraw.
  • Prize wheels and free-to-play games need no stake.
  • Opt-in promotions state the condition up front, so you can decide.

Drawbacks

  • Offers that require a large stake for a small number of spins.
  • Messages that arrive just after a loss or late at night and push a deposit.
  • Spins that need a deposit by an excluded method, such as an e-wallet, so the deposit doesn’t count.
  • Anything sent to you by a social media account or text from an unknown number claiming to be a casino.

Impersonation scams use the promise of “free spins” to collect logins. A licensed casino will show offers inside your account; if a message asks you to log in through a link you weren’t expecting, go to the site directly instead. Our guide to casino scams to avoid covers the common tricks.

Free spins for existing customers and staying in control

Offers for existing players exist to encourage more play, and the house edge means more play costs more on average. Spins don’t change that: they add a small amount of play, usually after you have staked or deposited more of your own money.

If offers are pulling you back more often than you’d like, switch off casino marketing, set a lower deposit limit (decreases apply immediately) or take a break with a time-out. The National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, run by GamCare, is free and open 24/7.

The boxes below are new-customer offers, not existing-customer spins, so they’re only relevant if you don’t already hold an account at that brand. Coral: bet £10 on slots for 100 spins at 10p, accept within 48 hours, valid 7 days, no wagering on winnings, some payment methods excluded. Ladbrokes: play £10 on slots for 50 spins a day over 10 days (up to 500) at 10p, claim by 23:59 daily, no wagering. PlayOJO: 80 spins at 10p on Big Bass Bonanza with a first deposit of £10+, winnings paid in cash, not available in Northern Ireland. Coral and Ladbrokes are run by the same company, so check the terms before joining both. All 18+, terms apply. More on latest free spins offers.

These three partner offers are for new customers, so they aren’t existing-customer spins. They are shown because all three pay spin winnings with no wagering, the same standard to look for in any later spins offer; 18+, terms apply.

Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open a new account with another; check the terms before signing up.

Frequently asked questions

Do UK casinos give free spins to existing customers?

Yes, many do, but not in the same way as welcome offers. Existing-customer spins usually come through opt-in promotions, targeted emails or texts, prize wheels, free-to-play games or loyalty rewards, and they often depend on staking or depositing first. Offers differ by account, so you need to check while logged in. Any wagering on their winnings has been capped at 10x since 19 January 2026. See how casino promotions work for the background.

Why don’t I get free spins offers any more?

There are three usual reasons. You may have opted out of casino marketing, or opted in to a channel you don’t check; since 1 May 2025 consent is set per product and per channel. The casino may personalise offers to products you don’t use. Or it may have stopped marketing and new bonus take-up because it sees signs of harm, which UK rules require. You can review your choices in account settings; our page on marketing consent rules explains them.

Can I get free spins without depositing as an existing customer?

Occasionally. Prize wheels, free-to-play games and some loyalty exchanges can award spins without a new deposit, though you will normally have deposited and played in the past to earn loyalty points. Most other existing-customer spins need a deposit or stake. No-deposit offers are rare in the UK because operators must verify age and identity before any play. Our page on free spins without a deposit looks at what is realistic.

Are free spins for existing customers worth it?

They are worth taking only when the condition is something you would do anyway. If an offer gives 20 spins at 10p for staking £20, you receive £2 of spins in exchange for £20 of play that has its own average cost. If you planned to play that £20, the spins are a small extra; if not, they cost you more than they return. Spins with no wagering are better than those paying bonus funds. See are free spins worth it for more examples.

Do existing-customer free spins have wagering requirements?

Some do and some don’t. Where winnings are paid as bonus funds, UK rules since 19 January 2026 cap wagering at 10x, so £5 of winnings could need at most £50 of further play. Many offers now pay spin winnings as cash with no wagering, which is simpler to value. The offer terms will state which applies. Our guide to free spins winnings explains how each version is credited and withdrawn.

Does Coral give free spins to existing customers?

Coral runs promotions for existing players, but we don’t track them because they change frequently. The Coral casino app listing mentions Smart Rewards, Rewards Grabber, Coral Coins and free-to-play games with real-money prizes, which are where existing-customer rewards tend to appear. The checked Coral offer (bet £10 on slots, get 100 spins) is for new players only. Look at the promotions tab while logged in, and see Coral promotions for an overview.

Does Ladbrokes give free spins to existing customers?

Ladbrokes’ 500-spin offer is for new customers only, but the Ladbrokes casino app listing describes free-to-play games including Instant Spins and a daily prize wheel, plus a reward currency called LadBucks. Those are the likeliest sources of spins once you have an account. Prizes and rules are set in each game’s terms, and free-to-play access needs age verification. For a summary of where to look, see Ladbrokes promotions.

Can I claim existing-customer spins on any slot?

Rarely. Spin offers are normally tied to one or a few named slots, at a fixed spin value set by the casino, often 10p or 20p. If you use your own stake to qualify, the £5 slot stake limit for players aged 25 and over, or £2 for those aged 18–24, applies to those spins. Check the eligible games before you opt in, because staking on a game outside the list usually won’t count towards the offer.

Is a text offering free spins from a casino genuine?

It may be, but check before you click. You only receive casino texts from a licensed operator if you opted in to SMS marketing for that product. If you don’t remember opting in, or the message asks for your password or card details through a link, treat it as suspicious. Go to the casino’s site or app directly and see whether the offer appears in your account. Our guide on how to spot a fake casino lists other warning signs.

How do I stop getting free spins offers?

Change your marketing preferences in your account settings, unticking casino offers for email, SMS and phone. Since 1 May 2025 operators must let you choose per product and per channel, and opt-out is the default for new accounts. You can also use the unsubscribe link in any email or reply STOP to a text. If you want to stop gambling as well as the offers, GAMSTOP blocks UK-licensed sites. Our guide to opting out of casino marketing walks through each step.
