No deposit bonus codes are short words or strings you enter at sign-up or in the cashier to receive a bonus without paying in. In October 2026 none of our partners offers a no-deposit bonus, and none needs a promo code for its welcome offer. This page explains how codes work, how to avoid fake or expired ones and what to use instead (18+, terms apply).
None of our five partners needs a promo code; their welcome offers apply through sign-up or the offer link (checked 5 October 2026).
A code can’t override UK rules: ID checks still come first and wagering can’t exceed 10x since 19 January 2026.
Code lists online are often out of date; the casino’s own terms are the only reliable source.
Codes sent by email or text should only reach you if you opted in to that channel, a rule since 1 May 2025.

What no deposit bonus codes are
A bonus code, also called a promo code or voucher code, is a label that tells the casino which offer you are claiming. You type it into a field at registration, in the cashier or on the promotions page. If the code matches a live promotion and you meet its conditions, the bonus is credited. A no-deposit code is one attached to an offer that needs no payment, such as a handful of spins or a small bonus.
Codes have become less common at large UK casinos. Many now apply the welcome offer automatically when you sign up through a particular page, or ask you to tick an opt-in box instead. Every offer type we track is on the offers hub, and the latest casino bonus codes page records which brands still use codes and when we last checked.
Why casinos use bonus codes
Tracking. A code shows which advert, partner site or email brought a player in, which is how casinos pay affiliates; our page on what a casino affiliate is explains the model, and our own arrangements are set out in the advertiser disclosure.
Targeting. Different codes can carry different offers for different audiences, such as a reload for existing customers.
Control. A code makes a bonus opt-in, so players who don’t want a bonus, and its terms, aren’t given one automatically.
Limiting. A code can be capped at one use per person, household or payment method.
None of those purposes changes the rules a licensed casino must follow. The code is only a key to the offer; the offer still has to meet the Gambling Commission’s requirements on clear terms, wagering and age checks.

Codes for existing customers often arrive by email or text. Since 1 May 2025, you choose marketing separately for each product and channel at a UK casino, with opt-out as the default, under LCCP 5.1.12 on direct marketing preferences (opens in a new tab). If you don’t opt in, you won’t receive those codes, which many players find a fair trade. See casino email and SMS offers for how they work.
Our partners need no bonus code
As checked on 5 October 2026, none of PlayOJO, Coral, Ladbrokes, Casumo or 10bet asks for a promo code for its welcome offer, and none offers a no-deposit bonus. The brand pages confirm the claim route for each: PlayOJO promo code, Coral promo code and Ladbrokes promo code.

What a no deposit bonus code can’t change
Some code-list sites suggest a special code unlocks better terms. At a UK-licensed casino, several rules apply however the offer is claimed:
Age and identity checks must be completed before any play, including with a bonus, a rule in force since 7 May 2019; see age verification.
Wagering can’t exceed 10x since 19 January 2026, so a code advertising 40x or 50x is either outdated or not from a UK-licensed site.
A promotion can’t mix products, so no code can tie casino spins to a sports bet.
Credit cards can’t fund gambling, whatever the offer.
Players who are self-excluded through GAMSTOP can’t open accounts or receive offers at licensed sites.
Lists of no-deposit codes go stale quickly. Offers end, codes are retired, and pages keep showing them for months. A code that no longer works is the most common problem; the guide to spotting an outdated offer lists the signs, and how casino offers change explains why.
More serious are sites that promise exclusive or secret codes in return for your email, a download or a payment. These are not how licensed casinos distribute offers. So-called leaked codes intended for one group of players can also breach the terms if used by others, and the casino may void any winnings. If a code promises an unusually large no-deposit bonus, treat it as a warning sign and read casino scams to avoid.
What to do if a bonus code doesn’t work
Check the code’s source: it should come from the casino’s own site, an email you opted in to, or a partner page with a current check date.
Re-enter it exactly, watching for spaces, capitals and look-alike characters such as O and 0.
Read the offer terms for eligibility: new customers only, excluded payment methods, minimum deposit, and region.
Check the date range; many codes have a start and end date.
Contact customer support with a screenshot of where you found the code and when you entered it.
If the casino promised a bonus and won’t honour it, use its complaints process.
A casino has 8 weeks to resolve a complaint; after that it must tell you about its alternative dispute resolution provider. The Commission’s guide on how to complain (opens in a new tab) sets out the process, and our complaints guide adds practical tips.
Judging the value behind a no deposit bonus code
The code itself has no value; the offer behind it does. Turn it into pounds: a code for 20 spins at 10p is £2 face value; a code for a £5 bonus with 10x wagering needs £50 of play, costing about £2 on average at a 96% RTP. Compare that with a deposit offer such as PlayOJO’s, where a £10 first deposit brings 80 spins worth £8 with winnings paid in cash. The pages on £5 free no deposit and comparing casino bonuses explain the method.
Claiming the nearest offers without a code
PlayOJO (checked 5 October 2026): 18+, new UK customers excluding Northern Ireland; make a first deposit of £10 or more for 80 spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p, winnings in cash with no wagering; not combinable with other offers; only via the designated offer link. Coral (1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027): 18+, new players; deposit and bet £10+ on slots for 100 spins at 10p on selected games, accept within 48 hours, valid 7 days, no wagering; Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards excluded. Ladbrokes (since 14 November 2025, until further notice): 18+, new customers; deposit and spend £10+ on slots for 50 spins a day for 10 days, up to 500, at 10p, claim before 23:59, valid 7 days, no wagering; prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers excluded.
Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited, so check the terms before opening new accounts at both. The how to claim a casino bonus page walks through the general process.
Codes, marketing and staying in control
A steady flow of codes by email or text can nudge you to play more often than planned. You can switch off marketing by channel in your account settings at any time, and set deposit limits or a time-out in the same menu. The guide to opting out of casino marketing shows how. If you want to stop altogether, GAMSTOP blocks all licensed sites, and the National Gambling Helpline is free on 0808 8020 133.
None of these needs a code, and none is a no-deposit offer: each asks for a £10 deposit or slot spend. They are the nearest real spins offers, with no wagering on winnings. 18+, terms apply.
Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open a new account with another; check the terms before signing up.

Frequently asked questions
Do UK casinos still use no deposit bonus codes?
Some do, but fewer than before. Many large UK casinos now apply offers automatically through sign-up or an opt-in box rather than a code. None of our five partners needs a promo code for its welcome offer, and none runs a no-deposit bonus as of 5 October 2026. Where codes exist, the casino’s own terms page is the only reliable source. The latest casino bonus codes page lists what we have verified, with dates.
Do I need a code for the PlayOJO offer?
No. PlayOJO’s 80 free spins offer for new UK customers, excluding Northern Ireland, needs a first deposit of at least £10 and is only available through the designated offer link. The spins are on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p each, with winnings paid in cash and no wagering. It can’t be combined with other offers. Codes shown on third-party sites for PlayOJO are not needed. See the PlayOJO promo code page for details.
Why doesn’t my no deposit bonus code work?
The most likely reasons are that the code has expired, was typed incorrectly, or isn’t valid for your account, for example because you are not a new customer or live outside the eligible area. Some codes only work with certain payment methods or within a date range. Check the casino’s own promotions page, re-enter the code carefully, and contact support with a screenshot if it still fails. The outdated offer guide shows how to tell if a code is stale.
Are no deposit bonus code websites safe?
Some are reputable, but many lists are out of date and a few are scams. Avoid any site asking you to pay, download software or hand over personal details to reveal a code; licensed casinos don’t distribute codes that way. Check that any casino linked from a code site is on the Gambling Commission register. A code promising an unusually large no-deposit bonus is a warning sign. The guide to spotting a fake casino lists the checks.
Can a bonus code get me better wagering than 10x?
It can get you lower wagering, never higher than 10x at a UK-licensed casino. Since 19 January 2026, no bonus may require more than ten times play-through, so a code can only offer 10x, something lower, or none. If a code promises terms like 35x or 50x, the offer predates the cap or comes from a site not licensed for Great Britain. The before and after the 10x cap guide compares old and new terms.
Can I use a no deposit code at more than one casino?
Each code belongs to one casino and one offer, so it won’t work elsewhere. You can claim offers at different operators, but sister brands may treat you as one customer. Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited, so check whether you can hold new accounts at both. Using one code on several accounts at the same casino breaks the terms and can lead to closure. The guide on bonus abuse explains what casinos look for.
Will I receive bonus codes by text or email?
Only if you opt in. Since 1 May 2025, UK casinos must ask you to choose marketing separately for casino, betting and bingo, and for email, SMS and phone, with nothing pre-ticked. If you opt in to casino emails, you may receive codes for existing-customer offers. You can withdraw consent at any time in your account. Security codes and account messages are not marketing. The marketing consent rules page explains your rights in full.
What if a casino refuses to honour a code it advertised?
Raise it with the casino’s customer support first, with a screenshot of the advert and terms. If that fails, make a formal complaint under its published procedure. The casino has 8 weeks to resolve it, after which it must refer you to its alternative dispute resolution provider, which is free and independent. Keep dates and copies of messages. The complaints and ADR page explains each stage, and IBAS is one of the approved providers.
Do bonus codes work in Northern Ireland?
It depends on the offer. Some UK casino promotions exclude Northern Ireland residents, and PlayOJO’s welcome offer is one: it is open to new UK customers excluding Northern Ireland. The Gambling Act 2005 applies to Great Britain, and Northern Ireland has its own, older legislation. Read the eligibility section of an offer’s terms before entering any code. The explainer on Northern Ireland gambling law covers the legal background.
Are no deposit bonus codes the same as free spins codes?
Not always. A no-deposit code can unlock spins, bonus money or another reward, and a free spins code may be tied to a deposit. Read what the code actually gives, what you must do first and what happens to winnings. Spins winnings may be cash or bonus money, and any wagering is capped at 10x. Since none of our partners uses codes, their spins are claimed through deposit and play steps instead. See how free spins work for the basics.
