Who operates Double Bubble Bingo
Gamesys Operations Limited is the company that runs Double Bubble Bingo for players in Great Britain. It is registered in Gibraltar and listed on the Commission’s register under account 38905, where remote bingo, casino and betting licences are shown as active. That company holds your funds, carries out verification and is the party named in the site’s terms.
The Double Bubble name itself is a trade mark of Roxor Gaming Limited, a games developer in the same family. That kind of split, where one company owns the brand and another holds the licence, is common, and it is why the licence holder is the name to look for when checking a site.
Double Bubble Bingo ownership: Gamesys, Bally’s and Intralot
Gamesys built the Double Bubble, Jackpotjoy and related brands before becoming part of Bally’s Corporation, the US casino group. In October 2025 the international side of that business moved under Intralot S.A., a Greek lottery and gaming company that is itself majority-owned by Bally’s. For players nothing about the UK licence holder changed: Gamesys Operations Limited still holds account 38905.

What Double Bubble Bingo offers: bingo formats and casino games
The site is bingo-led, with 75-ball, 80-ball and 90-ball rooms plus slots, Slingo, table games and live dealer games. The bingo formats work differently, and that affects how long a game lasts and how a ticket is priced.
Bingo formats listed at Double Bubble Bingo
Format
Card
How a game usually runs
90-ball
3 rows of 9 columns, 15 numbers
Prizes for one line, two lines and a full house
80-ball
4 by 4 grid
Patterns such as lines, corners and full card
75-ball
5 by 5 grid with a free centre square
A set pattern must be completed
Our guides to 90-ball bingo, 75-ball bingo and Slingo explain each format in detail. Bingo prizes depend on how many tickets are sold, so the return on a ticket is not fixed the way a slot’s published RTP is; bingo vs slots shows the maths.
Double Bubble Bingo sister sites on licence 38905
Gamesys Operations Limited runs several brands, some its own and some for partners under white-label agreements. The register showed these among the names on the licence when we last checked:
Jackpotjoy – the group’s best-known bingo and slots brand.
Bally Casino – the casino brand carrying the parent company’s name.
Virgin Games – a white label using the Virgin brand.
Because all of these share one licence holder, a self-exclusion, limit or closure at one may extend to the others. Welcome offers also often exclude people who already have an account with a sister brand. Read the eligibility wording before signing up, and see our explainer on casino sister sites.
The £6m Double Bubble Bingo operator penalty
On 10 January 2024 the Commission announced a £6m penalty against Gamesys Operations Limited, with a third-party audit of its anti-money laundering and safer gambling controls. The Commission’s statement on the Gamesys penalty (opens in a new tab) names doublebubblebingo.com among the operator’s twelve websites. The breaches ran from November 2021 to July 2022; the register records the decision as dated 22 November 2023 with a figure of £6.07m.
The failings fell into two groups. On social responsibility, the operator didn’t always spot customers at risk, relied too heavily on insolvency checks as a warning sign and had deposit limits that flagged risk too slowly. On anti-money laundering, some customers spent large sums without checks. One example in the statement: a customer deposited £8,255 within three days of opening an account with no risk flagged. Another lost almost £10,000 before being contacted, and that contact focused on games and promotions.
These are exactly the areas later tightened by the customer interaction rules and the financial vulnerability checks that start once net deposits reach £150 in 30 days, explained in our page on affordability checks.
UK rules that now shape Double Bubble Bingo
Several dated rules apply to every bingo-and-casino site in Great Britain:
Since 19 January 2026, bonus wagering is capped at 10x, and a bingo promotion can’t be tied to casino play under the mixed-product promotions ban.
From 31 October 2025, a new account has to be offered a financial limit before money goes in.
Since 1 May 2025, marketing consent is given separately for bingo, casino and betting, and for each channel.
Online slots stop at £5 per spin from age 25, or £2 per spin between 18 and 24.
Bingo tickets themselves aren’t covered by the slot stake limits, but the slots offered alongside them are. The latest UK casino rules feed lists each change with its date.
Confirm the licences are Active and include remote bingo and casino.

Safer gambling tools at Double Bubble Bingo
As a UK licensee, the operator must offer deposit limits, time-outs, reality checks and self-exclusion, and must take part in GAMSTOP. Bingo sessions can run long because games follow one another, so a reality check reminder can be especially useful; our page on reality checks explains the settings. For support, GamCare (opens in a new tab) runs the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, free and open around the clock.
How Double Bubble Bingo compares as a type of site
This is a bingo-first site within a multi-brand group. Compared with a casino-first site, the main differences are community features such as chat rooms, prize pools that depend on ticket sales, and a mix of bingo and slot-style games in one lobby. Compared with a bookmaker, there is no sportsbook to keep separate. If you prefer casino games with published RTPs, our online slots guide explains how to read them, and the UK casino brands A–Z shows who runs other bingo names.

Frequently asked questions
Who owns Double Bubble Bingo?
The site is run by Gamesys Operations Limited, which holds UK Gambling Commission account 38905 and is based in Gibraltar. Since October 2025 the wider business has sat under Intralot S.A., which is majority-owned by the US group Bally’s Corporation. The Double Bubble brand name is a trade mark of Roxor Gaming Limited, a games developer in the same family. Our UK casino brands A–Z shows the owners behind other bingo and casino names.
Is Double Bubble Bingo licensed in the UK?
Yes. Gamesys Operations Limited holds active UK Gambling Commission licences for remote bingo, casino and betting under account 38905. You can check the status, the domain doublebubblebingo.com and the trading names on the public register. A UK licence means the site must follow British rules on fairness, verification, marketing consent and safer gambling tools. The walkthrough in how to check a casino licence shows where each detail appears.
Why was Double Bubble Bingo’s operator fined?
Gamesys Operations Limited received a £6m penalty, announced on 10 January 2024, for social responsibility and anti-money laundering failures between November 2021 and July 2022. The Commission found it didn’t always identify customers at risk, relied too much on insolvency checks and let some customers spend large sums without checks. It also required a third-party audit. The bingo site was one of twelve named. See our page on Gambling Commission fines for context.
What are Double Bubble Bingo’s sister sites?
Sister sites on Gamesys Operations Limited’s licence include Jackpotjoy and Bally Casino, plus Virgin Games, Monopoly Casino and Rainbow Riches, which run as white labels. Sharing a licence holder means account checks, limits and exclusions may be linked across the brands, and welcome offers often exclude existing customers of related sites. Our explainer on white label casinos describes how a brand can run on another company’s licence.
Did anything change when Intralot took over?
The UK licence holder stayed the same: Gamesys Operations Limited, account 38905, continued to run the site after the group moved under Intralot S.A. in October 2025. Changes of ownership higher up can still lead to updated terms, privacy notices or account systems, so read any notice you receive. Check that the company named in new terms matches the register. The explainer on how offers change covers what operators must tell you.
Is Double Bubble Bingo a bingo site or a casino?
It is both, with bingo at the centre. The site lists 75-ball, 80-ball and 90-ball bingo alongside slots, Slingo, table games and live dealer games, all under one account. Bingo prizes depend on ticket sales and the number of players, while slots have a published RTP. That difference matters when you set a budget. Our guide to online bingo explains how bingo prizes and ticket prices work in the UK.
Can a bingo offer give casino spins at Double Bubble?
Not any more. Since 19 January 2026 UK-licensed operators can’t run promotions that mix gambling products, so buying bingo tickets can’t unlock slot spins as part of one offer, and casino play can’t earn bingo tickets. On the same date wagering on casino bonuses was capped at 10x. Each product now needs its own separate promotion. Our page on the mixed-product promotions ban explains the rule with examples.
Is Double Bubble Bingo safe to play?
The site is run by a company with active UK licences, so it must follow UK rules on fair games, verification, safer gambling tools and complaints. The 2024 penalty shows licensed operators can fall short, and the audit that followed was meant to fix that. Set a deposit limit at sign-up, read the terms and keep records of any dispute. See are online casinos safe in the UK for the protections you have.
How do I self-exclude from Double Bubble Bingo?
You can self-exclude in the account’s safer gambling area, which may also cover sister brands on the same licence, or use GAMSTOP to block every UK-licensed gambling website at once. Self-exclusion lasts at least six months and can’t be cancelled early. For a shorter break, a time-out works for days or weeks. Our guide to using GAMSTOP walks through registration, and the National Gambling Helpline is free on 0808 8020 133.
How do I complain about Double Bubble Bingo?
Use the site’s own complaints process first and keep copies of messages and reference numbers. If you don’t get a final response within eight weeks, or you disagree with it, refer the case free of charge to the alternative dispute resolution provider named in the terms. The Gambling Commission doesn’t resolve individual complaints but does want to hear about rule breaches. Our step-by-step guide on how to complain about a casino explains each stage.
Gambling can be addictive. Free, confidential help is available 24 hours a day from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133. Get free support from GamCare or NHS gambling support, or block yourself from all UK-licensed gambling sites with GAMSTOP.
