Gala Bingo online is run by LC International Limited, part of Entain plc, under Gambling Commission account 54743, the same licence that covers Coral and Ladbrokes. The high-street Gala clubs are a separate business now trading as Buzz Bingo. This profile explains the split, the brand’s history since 1991 and what the register showed on 20 October 2026.
Gala Bingo’s online licence holder is LC International Limited (UKGC account 54743), part of Entain plc, based in Gibraltar.
The Gala bingo clubs were sold to Caledonia Investments in December 2015 and rebranded Buzz Bingo in 2018; the websites stayed with Gala Coral, now Entain.
Gala Casino, Gala Spins, Foxy Bingo, Party Casino, Coral and Ladbrokes share the same licence.
Since 19 January 2026, a Gala Bingo promotion can’t mix bingo with slots or betting.

Who runs Gala Bingo online?
Gala Bingo’s website is operated by LC International Limited, a Gibraltar-based company in the Entain plc group. The Gambling Commission register entry for account 54743 (opens in a new tab) shows remote bingo, casino and betting licences active since 1 July 2019, with no regulatory actions listed when we checked on 20 October 2026.
That account is one of the busiest on the register. It also covers Coral and Ladbrokes, two of the casinos we review, so Gala Bingo is a direct sister brand of both. The 1 July 2019 date reflects when the brands were brought under this particular licence within the group, not when Gala started trading online.

Is Gala Bingo still on the high street?
Not under the Gala name. Since the 2015 sale and the 2018 rebrand, the former Gala clubs trade as Buzz Bingo and belong to a different company. Gala Bingo today is an online brand only. This catches people out in two ways:
An account at a Buzz Bingo club isn’t a Gala Bingo online account, and vice versa.
A complaint about a club visit goes to the club operator, while a complaint about the website goes to LC International.
Land-based bingo halls hold premises licences from local councils as well as Commission licences, and they follow different rules on machines. Our guide comparing online and land-based casinos explains the differences.
Sister brands under one licence holder typically share verification, payments and safer gambling systems. Our Coral sister sites page looks at the same family from Coral’s side.
What sharing a licence with Coral and Ladbrokes means
For most players, nothing visible. Each site has its own look, games and promotions. Underneath, though, the same company is responsible, and that has knock-on effects:
New-customer offers: terms can treat you as an existing customer if you already have an account with another brand run by the same company. Check before you sign up anywhere new.
Self-exclusion: an exclusion with the operator may cover several of its brands. Ask customer support to confirm the scope.
Verification: documents you’ve already provided may be recognised, though each brand can still ask for its own checks.
Complaints: the same complaints procedure and ADR provider usually apply across the family.
Gala Bingo has to provide deposit limits, time-outs, reality checks and self-exclusion, like every licensee. Bingo can feel low-stakes, but small tickets add up across long sessions, so a reality check is a useful habit. Bingo, like casino games, returns less to players than they spend over time. The National Gambling Helpline (opens in a new tab) on 0808 8020 133 is free and open around the clock, and GAMSTOP (opens in a new tab) blocks all UK-licensed gambling sites at once. Our guide to reality checks shows how to set one up.

Frequently asked questions
Who owns Gala Bingo now?
Gala Bingo’s website is owned and run by Entain plc through LC International Limited, which holds Gambling Commission account 54743. The same company runs Coral, Ladbrokes, Gala Casino, Gala Spins, Foxy Bingo and Party Casino. The Gala name has changed hands several times since 1991, but the online brand stayed with Gala Coral and passed to Entain. Our Ladbrokes sister sites page lists more of the group’s brands.
Is Gala Bingo the same as Buzz Bingo?
No. The Gala bingo clubs were sold to Caledonia Investments in December 2015 and rebranded as Buzz Bingo in 2018. Buzz Bingo is a separate company. Gala Bingo is now an online brand run by Entain’s LC International Limited. An account at one isn’t an account at the other, and complaints go to different businesses. Our guide comparing online and land-based casinos explains why the rules differ.
Is Gala Bingo licensed and safe?
Yes, Gala Bingo is licensed. When we checked the register on 20 October 2026, LC International Limited held active remote bingo, casino and betting licences, with no regulatory actions listed. Licensed sites must verify your age, keep games fair and offer deposit limits and self-exclusion. Your own limits matter too. Our answer on whether online casinos are safe in the UK covers what to check.
Can I claim the Coral offer if I already play at Gala Bingo?
Possibly not. Coral and Gala Bingo share the same licence holder, LC International Limited, and new-customer offers often exclude people who already hold an account with a brand run by the same company. Read Coral’s full terms before signing up, or ask customer support. The Coral offer is for new players aged 18+, with deposit exclusions. Our Coral bonus terms page explains each condition.
When did Gala Bingo start?
The Gala name was launched on 17 October 1991 by Bass plc on 17 of its bingo clubs, according to published histories. The business later went independent, merged with Coral in 2005 and became part of Ladbrokes Coral in 2016, then Entain. The bingo clubs were sold in 2015, leaving Gala Bingo as an online brand. Our UK casino history guide puts these changes in context.
Can a Gala Bingo offer include free spins on slots?
Not if it’s a bingo offer. Since 19 January 2026, UK rules ban promotions that combine different gambling products, so a bingo promotion can’t reward you with slot spins, and a slots promotion can’t require bingo tickets. Separate offers for each product are still allowed, each with wagering capped at 10x. Our page on the 10x wagering cap explains how the limit is calculated.
Do slot stake limits apply at Gala Bingo?
Yes, on slots. If you play slot games at Gala Bingo, the limit is £5 per spin if you’re 25 or over and £2 if you’re 18 to 24. These limits don’t apply to bingo tickets, which are a different product. They’ve been in force since 9 April 2025 and 21 May 2025. Our guide to the £5 slot stake limit covers how game cycles are counted.
Where is Gala Bingo based?
The licence holder, LC International Limited, gives Gibraltar as its head office on the register. Much of Gala Coral’s remote gaming business moved to Gibraltar in 2011. Its Gibraltar base doesn’t change your rights as a British player: the Gambling Commission licence means UK rules apply in full. Our explainer on the remote casino licence sets out what that licence requires.
How do I stop playing at Gala Bingo and its sister sites?
You can self-exclude through Gala Bingo’s account settings and ask whether the exclusion covers the operator’s other brands. GAMSTOP blocks every UK-licensed online gambling site, for six months to five years, and can’t be cancelled early. Free support is available 24/7 on 0808 8020 133. Our guide on how to stop gambling sets out practical first steps.
Gambling can be addictive. Free, confidential help is available 24 hours a day from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133. Get free support from GamCare or NHS gambling support, or block yourself from all UK-licensed gambling sites with GAMSTOP.
