Grosvenor casino online is run by Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited, which holds UK Gambling Commission account 57924, and the brand belongs to The Rank Group Plc, the FTSE 250 company behind around 50 Grosvenor venues and Mecca. This page sets out who holds which licence, what changed in October 2026 and how to check the details yourself.
Grosvenor’s website and app are licensed to Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited, UKGC account 57924.
The physical Grosvenor casinos sit under separate land-based licences (614, 33465 and 34161, per the site footer).
On 7 October 2026 Rank agreed a £5m settlement over failings at its land-based casino companies, not the online licence.
Mecca Games, Mecca Bingo and several other Rank sites share Grosvenor’s online licence, so a complaint or self-exclusion route is shared too.

Grosvenor casino in one minute: owner and licence
Grosvenor is one name used in two very different settings. On the high street it is a chain of roughly 50 land-based casinos with gaming tables, slot machines and poker rooms. Online it is a website and app offering slots, table games, live casino, poker and sports betting. Both belong to The Rank Group Plc, a FTSE 250 company, but they are licensed separately, and that split matters when you read news about the brand.
The online Grosvenor casino is operated by Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited. The Gambling Commission’s register entry for Rank Interactive (opens in a new tab) shows it under account number 57924, and that is the number to look for in the footer of the website. The Grosvenor footer also lists three land-based licence numbers, 614, 33465 and 34161, which cover the physical venues rather than the website. If you want the general method for this kind of check, our guide on how to check a casino licence walks through it.
We are not affiliated with Grosvenor and don’t rate or score it here. This is a factual profile, part of our A–Z of UK casino brands, dated and based on the register and the operator’s own published details as of October 2026.
Grosvenor’s online licence vs its land-based licences
Every business that offers gambling to people in Britain needs an operating licence from the Gambling Commission, but the type depends on where the gambling happens. A remote casino licence covers websites and apps; a non-remote licence covers premises. Grosvenor needs both because it runs both, and Rank uses different companies for each.

In practice this means your online account, balance, deposit limits and complaints all sit with Rank Interactive. A dispute about a game at a Grosvenor venue is handled by a different licensed company, even though the logo is the same. The Gibraltar address is common for UK-facing online operators; the Commission doesn’t require a British company, but it does require a licence, a UK address for service and full compliance with its licence conditions and codes of practice.
Who owns Grosvenor: The Rank Group and its sister brands
The Rank Group Plc owns Grosvenor outright. In Britain its other main consumer brand is Mecca, which also exists both as bingo clubs and as websites. Outside the UK, Rank runs Enracha and Yo in Spain and Portugal. Those overseas brands aren’t licensed for British players and don’t appear on the Commission’s register.
The online side is where the sister-site picture gets interesting. The domain list for licence 57924 (opens in a new tab), checked in October 2026, shows twelve active domains. Alongside grosvenorcasinos.com and meccagames.com it includes meccabingo.com, bellacasino.com, kittybingo.com, luckypantsbingo.com, luckyvip.com, magicalvegas.com, regalwins.com, rialtocasino.com, spinandwin.com and thevic.com. Older addresses such as gcasino.com are listed as inactive.
Sharing one licence doesn’t mean the sites are identical, but they share an operator, a compliance team and the same regulatory record. For more on how one company ends up running a dozen brands, see our explainer on casino sister sites and the separate profile of Mecca Games.
What changed recently: Rank’s £5m settlement of October 2026
The most recent regulatory news involving the Grosvenor name came on 7 October 2026, when the Gambling Commission announced that The Rank Group had agreed to a £5m regulatory settlement. Trade reports of the announcement name three Rank companies, Grosvenor Casinos Limited, Grosvenor Casinos (GC) Limited and Gaming Group Limited, which also face a third-party audit. The case concerned the land-based casinos; the reports don’t mention Rank Interactive or the Grosvenor website.
According to those reports, the Commission found anti-money laundering weaknesses, including policies not updated after the 2020 money laundering regulation changes and enhanced checks not carried out when Rank’s own rules required them. It also found social responsibility failures: one customer lost £50,000 without a safer gambling interaction, and a customer returning from self-exclusion had no interaction until losing £25,000. The settlement sum was calculated from gross gambling yield for 1 November 2024 to 1 May 2025.
When you read headlines about a well-known casino name, check which licensed company the action was taken against. The Commission’s enforcement action page (opens in a new tab) lists each case by company, and our page on Gambling Commission fines explains how penalties and settlements work.
What the Grosvenor casino website offers UK players
Grosvenor’s published product range covers slots, table games, live casino, poker and sports betting. That mix puts it closer to a full-service operator than a slots-only site. Live tables are a natural fit for a brand that runs real casinos; if you are new to them, our guide to the live casino format explains how streamed games work and why the house edge still applies.
Running casino and sport under one account has a regulatory side effect. Since 19 January 2026 the mixed-product promotions ban stops any UK operator from offering a promotion that requires play on one product to earn a reward on another, such as a sports bet that releases casino spins. The same date brought in the 10x wagering cap, which limits how many times any bonus can require you to play it through.
UK rules that apply at Grosvenor online
Because the website is licensed by the Commission, the same player protections apply as at any other British online casino. These aren’t Grosvenor policies; they are conditions of the licence, with the dates they began.

Safer gambling tools at Grosvenor and across Rank’s sites
As a remote licensee, Rank Interactive must offer deposit limits, time-outs, reality checks and self-exclusion, and must take part in GAMSTOP. Since 31 October 2025 new customers are prompted to set a financial limit before their first deposit, and cutting a limit takes effect straight away. Our guide to setting deposit limits explains how these work day to day.
If you want to stop entirely, a self-exclusion with the operator should cover the brand you exclude from, but the clean option is GAMSTOP (opens in a new tab), which blocks every British-licensed gambling website at once, including Rank’s other brands. Free, confidential help is also available from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, run by GamCare, 24 hours a day.
How to check the Grosvenor casino licence yourself
Copycat sites sometimes borrow big brand names, so it is worth spending two minutes confirming you are on the real Grosvenor casino before you register or deposit.
Scroll to the footer of the website you are on and note the Gambling Commission account number. For Grosvenor online it should read 57924.
Open the Commission’s public register and search by that number or by the name Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited.
Check the remote casino licence shows as Active, with the current date inside its active period.
Open the domain names tab and confirm the exact web address you are using is listed as Active.
Look at the regulatory actions tab, which shows any sanctions recorded against that company.
If the number, company or domain doesn’t match, leave the site and don’t deposit.
Complaints about Grosvenor online: the UK route
Complaints go to the operator first, through its published complaints procedure. Under the Commission’s rules the business has eight weeks to resolve a complaint; if it can’t, it must refer you to an approved alternative dispute resolution provider, which is free to use. The Commission itself doesn’t settle individual disputes. Our step-by-step guide to complaining about a casino covers what to include and how to escalate, and complaints and ADR rules sets out the timings.
How Grosvenor compares as a type of UK casino site
Grosvenor belongs to a small group of brands that started on the high street and moved online. That gives it a different profile from online-only operators, though the licence conditions are identical. The table below compares site types rather than individual casinos.

Grosvenor casino alternatives we check
If you are comparing Grosvenor with other licensed sites, these are the three casinos whose offers we check and date. PlayOJO: new UK customers outside Northern Ireland who make a first deposit of £10 or more get 80 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p each, with no wagering, so spin winnings are paid as cash.
Casumo: opt in and make a first deposit of £20 or more for a 50% bonus up to £100, to be wagered 10x within 7 days, with a £5 maximum bet while the bonus is active.

Frequently asked questions
Who owns Grosvenor casino?
The Rank Group Plc owns Grosvenor. Rank is a FTSE 250 company that also owns Mecca in the UK and Enracha and Yo in Spain and Portugal. The online casino is operated by its subsidiary Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited, while the roughly 50 Grosvenor venues are run by Rank’s land-based casino companies under separate licences. That means the website and the venues share a name and an owner but not a licence. Our UK casino brands A–Z shows how other well-known names are owned and licensed.
Is Grosvenor casino licensed in the UK?
Yes, Grosvenor’s website is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. The licence holder is Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited under account number 57924, and grosvenorcasinos.com appears as an active domain on that account in the October 2026 register. The physical casinos hold separate land-based licences, which the footer lists as 614, 33465 and 34161. You can confirm the details in a couple of minutes using the method in our casino licence check guide.
Was Grosvenor fined by the Gambling Commission in 2026?
Rank agreed a £5m settlement on 7 October 2026, but it concerned land-based companies. Reports of the Commission’s announcement name Grosvenor Casinos Limited, Grosvenor Casinos (GC) Limited and Gaming Group Limited, citing money laundering control weaknesses and missed safer gambling interactions at venues. Rank Interactive, which runs the website, isn’t named in those reports, and its register entry is a separate record. A settlement is a regulatory outcome agreed with the Commission rather than a court fine. Our page on Gambling Commission fines explains the difference and how the money is used.
What are Grosvenor casino’s sister sites?
Grosvenor’s online sister sites are the other domains on Rank Interactive’s licence 57924. In October 2026 the register listed twelve active ones, including Mecca Games, Mecca Bingo, Bella Casino, Kitty Bingo, Lucky Pants Bingo, Lucky VIP, Magical Vegas, Regal Wins, Rialto Casino, Spin and Win and The Vic. They share an operator and compliance record, so a problem at the licence level affects them all. See our Mecca Games profile and the wider sister sites explainer for how these groups are organised.
Is Grosvenor casino safe to use?
Grosvenor’s website holds an active UK licence, which is the main safety test for any British casino. A licence means the operator must verify your age and identity, protect your data, offer safer gambling tools, take part in GAMSTOP and follow the 2025–2026 rules on stakes and bonuses. Safety in a regulatory sense doesn’t mean you won’t lose money; the house edge applies to every game. Our are online casinos safe in the UK page explains what a licence does and doesn’t protect you from.
Can I use one Grosvenor account online and in a venue?
Whether and how online and venue play can be linked is set by Rank’s own terms, so check Grosvenor’s help pages for the current position rather than relying on older reports. Even if accounts were linked, the online part is governed by Rank Interactive’s remote licence and the venue by a land-based licence, so limits, complaints and verification can be handled differently in each place. If you set a deposit limit online, don’t assume it applies at a gaming table. Rules and protections can differ between the two settings.
Does self-excluding from Grosvenor block Mecca too?
Not necessarily, so the safest route is GAMSTOP. An operator self-exclusion is usually set for the brand or account you apply it to, and Rank’s own terms decide whether it extends across its other sites. GAMSTOP, by contrast, blocks every website and app licensed in Great Britain, including all of Rank’s online brands, for six months, one year or five years. Land-based venues are separate and have their own exclusion schemes. Our guide on how to self-exclude explains both options.
Does Grosvenor need a promo code for its welcome offer?
We don’t describe Grosvenor’s welcome offer because it isn’t one of our partners, and offers at non-partner sites change without us checking them. Whatever the current offer is, it must follow the 10x wagering cap and the ban on mixing casino and sport in one promotion, both in force since 19 January 2026. Read the full terms on the operator’s site before opting in. For partner offers that we do check and date, see our latest welcome offers.
Why is Grosvenor’s online operator based in Gibraltar?
Many UK-facing online casinos run their remote business from Gibraltar or Malta for tax and historical reasons, and the Gambling Commission allows this. What it requires is a Commission licence for any operator serving British customers, plus a UK address for service and full compliance with British rules. Since 1 April 2026 operators also pay remote gaming duty at 40% of profits, up from 21%, wherever they are based; players pay nothing on winnings. Our remote gaming duty page has the dates and detail.
How do I complain about Grosvenor casino?
Start with Grosvenor’s own complaints procedure, which should be linked in the website footer or help centre. Keep a record of dates, amounts and any chat transcripts. The operator has eight weeks to resolve the complaint; after that, or if you receive a final response you disagree with, it must point you to its approved alternative dispute resolution provider, which is free. The Gambling Commission takes information but doesn’t resolve individual disputes. Our how to complain about a casino guide includes a template and the timings.
