75 ball bingo is played on a 5 × 5 card headed B-I-N-G-O, with 24 numbers and a free square in the centre, and you win by completing the pattern set for that game, from a single line to a picture or a full card. It is the North American form of bingo, and in UK online rooms the pattern is shown before each game starts.
A 75 ball bingo card has 25 squares: 24 numbers plus a free centre that counts as already marked.
Each column draws from its own band: B 1–15, I 16–30, N 31–45, G 46–60, O 61–75.
The winning pattern changes from game to game, so check the pattern display before you buy tickets.
Lines through the free centre need only four numbers, which makes them several times more likely early in a game.
A full card (coverall) on one ticket needs about 73 calls on average, so early coverall jackpots are rare.

What 75 ball bingo is and where it comes from
It is the version played across the United States and Canada, and the one most people picture from films: a square card with the letters B-I-N-G-O across the top. In the UK it arrived mainly through online sites, where it sits beside the traditional 90 ball game. Its defining feature is flexibility. Instead of fixed stages, each game has a target pattern, which might be a straight line, the four corners, a letter, a shape or the whole card.
That makes it feel different from game to game, even though the draw itself is identical: numbers come out one at a time from a random number generator, and your card is marked automatically. Our online bingo UK guide compares it with the other variants, and you can browse every game type in our casino games hub.
The 75 ball bingo card: letters, columns and the free space
Every card is a 5 × 5 grid. Each column takes five numbers from its own range of 15, except the N column, which has only four because the centre square is free. That gives 24 numbers per card.

Because each column has its own range, callers in the hall would announce the letter with the number, as in “N 42”. Online, the letter is usually shown beside the ball so you can see at a glance which column it falls in.
75 ball bingo patterns: from lines to coverall
Patterns are what make 75 ball bingo distinct. The room shows the pattern before the game, often animated so you can see every way it can be made. Common ones include:

Some rooms play several patterns in one game, paying a smaller prize for an early pattern and continuing to coverall. Others use only coverall, which makes 75 ball play more like a long full-house game.
How to play 75 ball bingo online, step by step
Open a 75 ball room and read the pattern display, ticket price, prize and how many players are waiting.
Buy one or more cards before the countdown ends; most rooms set a maximum number per game.
Numbers are called with their column letter and auto-daub marks them on your cards.
Your cards are ranked by how few numbers they need to finish the current pattern.
The first card to complete the pattern wins; simultaneous winners on the same call share the prize equally.
In multi-pattern games, play continues to the next pattern until the final one, often coverall, is won.
Winnings go to your balance automatically once the game ends.
75 ball bingo odds: why the free square matters
The free centre square changes the maths of line games more than most players realise. A line through the centre needs four specific numbers; any other line needs five. Early in a game that one-number gap makes a big difference.

Coverall is the opposite end of the scale. All 24 numbers must be drawn, and a single card finishes on about the 73rd call on average. The chance one card is complete by call 60 is about 0.14%, and by call 70 about 13.6%. With many cards in play a room usually finishes sooner, but a jackpot for coverall within a low number of calls is designed to be won rarely.
These are draw probabilities for a fair game and apply at any site. The value of a ticket also depends on the prize and how many cards are in play.
75 ball bingo prizes and how to judge a room’s value
As with other bingo, the room either pays a share of ticket sales or a fixed prize. A quick check is to divide the total prize by the number of cards in play and compare it with the card price. For example, a £5 fixed prize with 100 cards at 5p each (£5 in sales) returns, on average, the full ticket price; the same prize with 250 cards returns 2p per 5p card.
Neither figure tells you what will happen in one game, and across many games and rooms the operator keeps a margin. Our page on expected value shows how to work out the average worth of a ticket, and the house edge guide explains the casino-game equivalent.

UK rules for 75 ball bingo sites in 2026
Sites must hold a Gambling Commission licence that covers remote bingo. You must be verified as 18+ before you can play, including in rooms without a ticket price, and credit cards cannot be used to fund play. Bingo is excluded from the five-second minimum game cycle that applies to other online casino games since 17 January 2025.
Fast pattern games can run several times in a few minutes. At 10p a card and four cards per game, ten games cost £4; at a game every two minutes, an hour costs £12. Decide a budget before you open a room, use the deposit limit the site must prompt you to set before your first deposit, and consider a reality check to track time. If you want to stop gambling for a while, GAMSTOP blocks all GB-licensed online gambling sites, including bingo.
Where to play 75 ball bingo at licensed UK sites
PlayOJO’s operator, Skill On Net Limited, has held a UK bingo licence since February 2020 in addition to its casino licence, and the PlayOJO app lists bingo among its games; see our PlayOJO review for the licence details. Its welcome offer is for slots only: new UK customers aged 18+ (excluding Northern Ireland) get 80 spins on Big Bass Bonanza, worth 10p each, with a first deposit of at least £10, and winnings are paid in cash with no wagering.
Casumo and Coral are listed as casino alternatives. Casumo’s 50% bonus up to £100 needs a first deposit of £20 or more, with 10x wagering within 7 days. Coral gives 100 spins at 10p each when you deposit and bet £10 on slots, with no wagering on spin winnings; some payment methods, including PayPal, don’t qualify. 18+, terms apply. Frequently asked questions
How many numbers are on a 75 ball bingo card?
A 75 ball bingo card has 24 numbers and one free square, making a 5 × 5 grid of 25. The B, I, G and O columns each hold five numbers from their own band of 15, while the N column holds four with the free centre between them. The free square counts as marked from the start, so it helps any pattern that passes through it. Our online bingo UK guide compares this card with other ticket types.
What patterns can win in 75 ball bingo?
Patterns vary by game and are shown in the room before you buy. Common ones include a single line in any direction, four corners, a 2 × 2 postage stamp, the letter X, pictures such as hearts or arrows, and coverall, where every square is marked. Some games play several patterns in sequence with a prize for each. Lines through the centre need only four numbers. The room information explains exactly which squares count for the current pattern.
What does the free space mean in 75 ball bingo?
The free space is the centre square of the card, which is treated as marked before any number is called. It sits in the N column, which is why that column has four numbers rather than five. Any line through the centre, the middle row, middle column or either diagonal, needs only four called numbers. By call 20, a four-number line is about four times likelier to be complete than a five-number one. The house edge guide explains how game rules shape value.
How many calls does a 75 ball coverall take?
For a single card, a coverall needs all 24 numbers drawn, which takes about 73 calls on average out of 75. The chance one card is complete by call 60 is about 0.14%, and by call 70 about 13.6%. In a busy room, the first of many cards to finish usually arrives earlier. Coverall jackpots for finishing within a low number of calls are therefore rarely won. Our progressive jackpots guide covers how such pots grow.
Is 75 ball bingo easier to win than 90 ball?
Not as such. Your chance of winning any bingo game depends mainly on how many tickets are in play compared with yours, and the prize on offer. 75 ball games with simple patterns can finish quickly, while coverall games run long. 90 ball pays three prizes per game, which spreads wins across more players. Compare the price per ticket, the prize and the player count before choosing. Our 90 ball bingo guide explains the alternative format.
Can I choose my own numbers in 75 ball bingo?
Usually not. Online rooms generate cards automatically, though some let you swap or refresh cards before buying, or pick favourites from a selection. Choosing makes no difference to your odds, because every number is equally likely to be drawn and every card has the same chance of completing the pattern. What matters is the number of cards in play and the prize. Our gambling myths guide covers lucky-number beliefs in more depth.
Is online 75 ball bingo legal in the UK?
Yes, for adults aged 18 and over, when the site holds a Gambling Commission licence covering remote bingo. Licensed sites must verify your age and identity, provide safer gambling tools, take part in GAMSTOP and offer a complaints route to an independent dispute resolution service. Sites without a UK licence offer none of this. Check a site’s name or web address on the register first, using our guide on how to check a casino licence.
Are there 75 ball bingo bonuses?
Bingo sites can run bingo-only offers, such as bonus tickets after a deposit, but any bonus funds can carry wagering of no more than 10x since 19 January 2026. From the same date, an offer cannot mix bingo with casino or sports, so bundles of bingo tickets and slot spins have gone. Read the terms for ticket values, expiry and any withdrawal cap. Our bingo bonus guide explains how current bingo offers are structured.
What does coverall mean in bingo?
Coverall, also called blackout, means marking every number on the card. In 75 ball bingo that is all 24 numbers plus the free centre. It is the 75 ball equivalent of a 90 ball full house, and it is often the final pattern in a multi-pattern game, carrying the biggest prize. Because it needs nearly every ball drawn, coverall games last longest. A room’s pattern display shows when coverall is in play. Our casino glossary for beginners explains other terms.
