Bingo bonus

A bingo bonus is a promotion that gives you bonus funds or tickets to use in online bingo rooms, usually after a qualifying deposit. From 19 January 2026, UK bingo offers could no longer be bundled with slot spins, which changed many familiar deals. None of our partners runs a bingo welcome bonus right now (checked 5 October 2026), so here is how bingo offers work and what comes closest. 18+, terms apply.

Key takeaways

  • A bingo bonus gives bonus funds or tickets for bingo rooms; wagering on it is capped at 10x.
  • One offer has not been allowed to mix bingo with slots or other products since 19 January 2026.
  • None of our five partners currently runs a bingo welcome bonus; PlayOJO runs bingo but its welcome offer is slots spins.
  • A bingo room’s value depends on the prize pool compared with ticket sales, which the room shows.
  • Bingo is excluded from the 5-second game-speed rule, and slot stake limits do not cover bingo tickets.

What a bingo bonus is

Online bingo works like the hall version, with numbers called automatically and tickets marked on screen. Rooms run on a timetable, each with a ticket price and a prize pool. Our online bingo guide explains the formats, from 90-ball bingo with its one line, two lines and full house, to the faster 75-ball game played on a 5×5 card.

A bingo bonus is a promotion you spend in those rooms. Most take the form of bonus funds after a deposit, tickets for particular games, or access to rooms reserved for new players. The money or tickets usually come with conditions: a qualifying deposit, a list of rooms, an expiry time and, for bonus funds, a wagering requirement before winnings become cash.

Bingo is a social game for many people, but it is still gambling. Over time the operator keeps a share of ticket sales, and a bonus does not change that.

Bingo bonus offers at our partner casinos

We only list offers from five licensed partners, and as of 5 October 2026 none of them runs a bingo welcome bonus. This is where each one stands for a bingo player.

PlayOJO is the most relevant partner for bingo players because it holds a bingo licence and runs bingo rooms, as its casino profile explains. Its welcome offer, though, is a casino offer. Under the 2026 rules a single offer cannot cover both products, so a bingo welcome deal would have to be a separate promotion. If you are mainly looking for new bingo sites, our new bingo sites page explains how to judge them.

Why bingo and slots bonuses were split in January 2026

For years a typical UK bingo welcome offer bundled bingo bonus funds with slot spins: deposit £10, get bingo money plus spins on a featured slot. From 19 January 2026 that format is banned. The Gambling Commission’s rule says an incentive must not include more than one type of gambling product, with betting, casino, bingo and lottery treated as separate. The Commission set out the change in its announcement on safer and simpler gambling promotions (opens in a new tab), and our page on the mixed-product promotions ban explains it in full.

In practice, a site that offers both products now has to run them as two promotions with their own terms. Our comparison of bingo and slots explains how the two products differ in pace, cost and social features.

Types of bingo bonus you will see

Across UK bingo sites the common formats are:

  • Bingo deposit match: bonus funds for bingo tickets, a percentage of your deposit. Wagering, if any, is now 10x or less.
  • Ticket bundles: a set number of tickets for a named game after a qualifying deposit; “free” tickets are always tied to that deposit or another condition.
  • New-player rooms: rooms open only to recent sign-ups, often with low ticket prices or fixed prizes.
  • Loyalty rewards: points or rewards earned from ticket purchases, explained on our casino loyalty programmes page.
  • Free-to-enter games: rooms with no ticket price and small prizes, usually for depositing customers.

Bingo-adjacent games like Slingo mix reels with a bingo grid. How a site classes them for bonus purposes is set in its terms, so check before assuming bingo funds will work there.

Bingo bonus maths: tickets, prize pools and wagering

Slots publish a return to player; bingo rooms show you something more direct, the prize pool against ticket sales. Here is a worked example with illustrative figures for a 90-ball room:

  • Ticket price 10p. Forty players each buy six tickets: 240 tickets, £24 of sales.
  • If the room pays a fixed total of £18 across one line, two lines and full house, the room returns 75% of sales on that game.
  • If only ten players turn up for the same fixed £18 prize, sales are £6 and the room returns 300% on that game, because the prize does not shrink.
  • If the prize pool is a share of sales instead, the percentage stays the same however many play, but the prize grows with the crowd.

Now add a bonus. A £10 bingo bonus at 4x wagering needs £40 of tickets. In a room returning 75%, the average cost of that play is £10, the whole bonus. In a fixed-prize room with few players, the average cost can be far lower. So the rooms you choose matter more than the headline bonus. Many bonus terms also cap how many tickets you may buy per game with bonus funds.

UK rules for online bingo bonuses in 2026

Bingo sits in a slightly different place in the rulebook from slots and casino games:

  • The 10x wagering cap applies to bingo bonuses as to any other incentive, from 19 January 2026.
  • The game-speed rules introduced for non-slot casino games on 17 January 2025, with a 5-second minimum game cycle, exclude bingo and peer-to-peer poker.
  • The £5 and £2 stake limits apply to online slots only, defined as reel-based casino games, so bingo ticket prices are not covered by them.
  • Age verification applies before you deposit or play, including free games, as covered on the age verification rules page.
  • Bingo Duty, which operators paid, was abolished from 1 April 2026 under the government’s gambling duty changes (opens in a new tab). Players do not pay tax on bingo winnings in the UK.

Playing bingo and slots: claiming PlayOJO’s offer

If you enjoy both bingo and slots, PlayOJO is the partner where both products sit under one account. Its welcome offer is for slots, and you claim it like this:

  1. Open PlayOJO through the designated offer link, as the terms require.
  2. Register as a new UK customer (Northern Ireland excluded) and complete the identity checks.
  3. When the limit prompt appears before your first deposit, set an amount you are comfortable losing.
  4. Deposit £10 or more as your first deposit.
  5. Play the 80 spins at 10p on Big Bass Bonanza; winnings are paid in cash with no wagering.
  6. Visit the bingo lobby separately with your cash balance if you wish; any bingo promotion would be a separate offer with its own terms.

The 80 free spins page looks at the offer in more depth.

Bingo bonus checklist: what to read first

  1. Is the bonus bingo funds, tickets or room access, and is it a separate offer from any casino promotion?
  2. What qualifying deposit is needed, and which payment methods are excluded?
  3. Which rooms accept bonus funds, and is there a cap on tickets per game?
  4. What is the wagering multiple (10x or less) and the deadline?
  5. When do bonus tickets or funds expire?
  6. Are winnings from bonus tickets paid as cash or as bonus funds?

Our guide to reading bonus terms explains each of these with examples, and the first deposit bonus page covers deposit-triggered offers generally.

Is a bingo bonus safe? Checking the site and staying in control

Check that the site is licensed for bingo, not just casino, on the Gambling Commission register. PlayOJO’s operator, Skill On Net Limited, account 39326, appears on Skill On Net’s public register entry (opens in a new tab) with both activities. Our guide to checking a licence shows where to look. Bingo games run back to back, and pre-buying tickets for many games can add up. Set a limit, take breaks, and if it stops being fun, GamCare (opens in a new tab) runs the free National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, 24/7.

Frequently asked questions

What is a bingo bonus?

It is a promotion that gives you bonus funds, tickets or room access to use in online bingo, usually after a qualifying deposit. Conditions normally include eligible rooms, an expiry time and, for bonus funds, a wagering requirement, which since 19 January 2026 cannot exceed 10x. A bingo bonus can no longer be bundled with slot spins in the same offer. The online bingo guide explains the games you would use it on.

Do any of your partner casinos offer a bingo bonus?

Not at the moment. As of 5 October 2026, none of our five partners runs a bingo welcome bonus. PlayOJO holds a bingo licence and runs bingo rooms, but its welcome offer is 80 spins at 10p on Big Bass Bonanza after a £10 first deposit. Coral and Ladbrokes offer slots spins with no wagering on winnings. We will update this page if a partner adds a bingo offer. The PlayOJO casino profile covers its bingo and casino products.

Why can’t bingo offers include free spins any more?

UK rules in force from 19 January 2026 say a single incentive must not include more than one type of gambling product. Bingo and casino are separate products, so an offer of bingo funds plus slot spins, which used to be common, is no longer allowed. A site can still run a bingo promotion and a casino promotion side by side, as separate offers with their own terms. The mixed-product promotions ban page explains the rule.

Is there wagering on bingo bonuses?

There can be, but it is capped. Since 19 January 2026 no UK bonus may require you to play through bonus funds more than 10 times, and that includes bingo bonus funds. Many bingo offers use a lower multiple, and some ticket bundles pay winnings as cash. A £10 bonus at 4x means £40 of tickets before winnings convert. Always check whether winnings from bonus tickets are paid as cash or bonus funds. The 10x wagering cap page covers the legal limit.

What is free bingo?

Free bingo usually means rooms with no ticket price or tickets given as part of a promotion. There is always a condition attached, such as a recent deposit, a new-player window or a loyalty level, so free bingo is never simply free. Prizes in free rooms are usually small and may be paid as bonus funds. Since 2019, you must also be age-verified before playing any free gambling game. The free to play casino games page explains similar formats.

How do I know if a bingo room is good value?

Compare the prize pool with the ticket sales shown in the room. A room with a fixed £18 prize and £24 of tickets sold returns 75%; the same prize with only £6 of tickets sold returns 300% for that game. Fixed-prize rooms at quiet times often give more value per ticket, while busy rooms with growing prizes offer bigger wins but smaller chances. The bingo vs slots comparison explains how bingo returns differ from slot RTPs.

Do UK stake limits apply to bingo?

No. The £5 per spin limit for players aged 25 and over and the £2 limit for 18–24s apply to online slots, which the rules define as reel-based casino games. Bingo tickets are not covered. Bingo rooms set their own ticket prices and often a maximum number of tickets per player per game. Your own deposit limit is the main control. The £5 slot stake limit page explains exactly what the legal limit covers.

Do I pay tax on bingo winnings in the UK?

No. Players in the UK do not pay tax on gambling winnings, including bingo prizes. Duties are paid by operators. The separate Bingo Duty that operators used to pay was abolished from 1 April 2026, and Remote Gaming Duty on operators’ profits rose to 40% on the same date, but neither is charged to players. The gambling winnings tax page explains the position in more detail.

Can I use a casino bonus on bingo?

Usually not. Casino bonuses are tied to casino games, and since January 2026 an offer cannot span more than one product, so a casino bonus will not normally extend to bingo rooms. Of our partners, 10bet’s bonus is wagered on slots, and Coral, Ladbrokes and PlayOJO give slots spins. Casumo’s terms set game restrictions. Check each site’s terms to see which games a bonus covers. The game weighting explainer shows how contributions work.

Are bingo bonuses safe to claim?

They are as safe as the operator, so check that the site holds a Gambling Commission licence covering bingo. The public register lists each operator’s licensed activities and domains. Then read the bonus terms for eligible rooms, expiry and wagering before depositing. Because bingo games run back to back and tickets can be pre-bought, a deposit limit set before you start is worthwhile. The guide to checking a casino licence shows how to read a register entry.
