Coral minimum deposit

The Coral minimum deposit Coral publishes is £5, but only for Google Pay and Pay by Bank; for cards and other methods the help centre says the minimum is shown in the cashier. To claim the welcome spins you need to bet £10 on slots after a qualifying deposit, so £10 is the practical starting point for new players.

Key takeaways

  • Published £5 minimum: Google Pay and Pay by Bank (help centre, checked 20 October 2026).
  • Other methods: the minimum appears in the cashier when you choose the method.
  • UK customers can't make a single deposit over £2,000, whatever the method.
  • The welcome offer needs a £10 slot bet after a qualifying deposit, so a £5 deposit alone won't trigger the 100 spins.
  • No deposit fees on Google Pay, Pay by Bank, PayPal, Visa, Apple Pay or paysafecard, according to Coral.

Coral minimum deposit: £5, with conditions

Coral's general deposit methods page (opens in a new tab) does not give a single site-wide minimum. It says the minimum is displayed in the cashier. The two places Coral does publish a figure are its method pages for Google Pay and Pay by Bank, both of which list a £5 minimum deposit. So the accurate answer is: £5 is the lowest published minimum, available through those two methods, and anything else should be read off the cashier at the time.

That distinction matters because older reviews often say Coral takes £5 by debit card. Coral's own help pages do not say that, so we don't either. If a debit card minimum is important to you, open the cashier, select the card and the figure appears before you commit.

Checked against Coral's help centre on 20 October 2026. Minimums can change; the cashier is always the live source.

Two caps overlap here. Coral's Google Pay and Pay by Bank pages quote a £5,000 maximum, but its general deposit page says UK customers cannot make any single deposit over £2,000, and that this applies to all payment methods. For a UK account, the £2,000 per-deposit cap is the one to expect. Coral's Pay by Bank help page (opens in a new tab) lists the banks that support it, from Barclays and Monzo to Starling and Revolut. Read more about how this route works on our pay by bank casinos page.

Why £10, not £5, is the real starting point for new players

The welcome offer is where the £5 minimum stops being the whole story. Under the terms checked on 5 October 2026, new players aged 18+ must deposit with a qualifying method and bet £10 or more on slots to receive 100 free spins, each worth 10p, accepted within 48 hours and used within 7 days, with no wagering on winnings. A £5 deposit is valid for playing, but it cannot by itself cover a £10 qualifying bet.

How far a small Coral deposit goes

A minimum deposit is best judged by how many game rounds it buys and how quickly the house edge wears it down. These figures are simple arithmetic, not predictions.

Spins per deposit at common stakes
DepositAt 10p a spinAt 20p a spinAt £1 a spinAt £2 a spin (18–24 cap)
£550 spins25 spins5 spins2 spins
£10100 spins50 spins10 spins5 spins
£20200 spins100 spins20 spins10 spins

Now add the house edge. On a slot with a 96% RTP, the expected loss is 4p for every £1 staked. If you cycle a £10 deposit through 100 spins at 10p, you have staked £10 and the average outcome is a £9.60 return, though any real session will swing well above or below that. Keep playing the returns at the same stake and the balance drifts down over time. Slots at UK sites also run at least 2.5 seconds per spin with no autoplay, so 100 spins take at least four minutes of active play.

Making your first Coral deposit, step by step

These steps assume you have already registered. If not, start with Coral casino sign up, because identity verification must be finished before any deposit.

  1. Log in and open the Cashier, then choose Deposit.
  2. Set a deposit limit when prompted (required before a first deposit since 31 October 2025), or confirm that you are opting out.
  3. Pick your method. For the welcome spins, avoid PayPal, Neteller, Skrill, Paysafe and prepaid cards.
  4. Enter the amount. If you want the offer, make sure you can bet at least £10 on slots afterwards.
  5. Approve the payment in your banking app, Google Pay or Apple Pay, or enter your card details.
  6. Look for the success message and transaction ID, then check the balance has updated.

If a debit card deposit fails, Coral lists the usual causes: insufficient funds, details that don't match your card issuer's records, a wrong CVV2, or a bank that blocks gambling transactions. Our guide to a declined casino deposit explains each one.

Deposit limits at Coral: setting your own minimum and maximum

The most useful deposit figure is the one you set yourself. Coral lets you set daily, weekly and monthly limits, with the longest period holding the largest figure. Daily limits reset at 00:00 UK time, weekly at 00:00 on Monday, and monthly at 00:00 on the 1st. Lower a limit and it applies at once; raise one and it only takes effect after 24 hours.

Worked example: a monthly limit of £60, weekly £20 and daily £10 means you can never put in more than £10 a day, £20 a week or £60 a month, whichever bites first. The Gambling Commission's blog on financial limit changes (opens in a new tab) explains why operators must now offer gross deposit limits and prompt customers before the first deposit. Our step-by-step guide on how to set deposit limits covers the process at any site.

Payment rules that affect a Coral deposit

  • Own name only: every payment method must be registered in your name; a third-party method can lead to a frozen account.
  • Three active methods: UK customers can have up to three active payment methods in any rolling 30 days.
  • No credit cards: banned for gambling in Great Britain since 14 April 2020, including e-wallets topped up by credit card; see the credit card ban.
  • No fees from Coral: its pages for Google Pay, Pay by Bank, PayPal, Visa, Apple Pay and paysafecard all state no deposit fee.
  • paysafecard: since 14 September 2021, only paysafecard accounts are accepted, not vouchers.

Each of these is explained in more depth on our Coral payment methods page, including which methods you can later withdraw to.

The minimum withdrawal at Coral

What goes in has to come out somewhere. Coral publishes a £5 minimum withdrawal for Fast Bank Transfer and for Google Pay, and it charges no withdrawal fees. Other methods show their minimum in the cashier. That symmetry means a small balance left over from a £5 or £10 deposit can usually be withdrawn rather than stranded. For timing by method, see Coral withdrawal time.

Coral's minimum deposit compared with Ladbrokes

Coral and Ladbrokes share an operator, LC International Limited, and their help centres publish the same figures: £5 minimum by Google Pay and Pay by Bank, other minimums in the cashier, a £2,000 cap on any single UK deposit and no withdrawal fees. Both welcome offers start from £10 on slots. The difference lies in what that £10 buys: 100 spins at Coral, or up to 500 spins over 10 days at Ladbrokes. Our page on Ladbrokes minimum deposit covers its side, and the £10 deposit offers round-up compares other current deals.

Where a £10 Coral deposit leads: the offers

Coral (18+, new players, 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027): deposit with a qualifying method and bet £10 or more on slots to get 100 free spins at 10p on selected games; accept within 48 hours, use within 7 days, no wagering on winnings. Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards don't qualify. Ladbrokes (18+, new customers): deposit and spend £10 on slots to get 50 free spins a day for 10 days, up to 500, at 10p each, claimed before 23:59 daily and valid 7 days, with no wagering. Prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers deposits don't qualify. Terms apply to both.

However small the deposit, it is money spent on entertainment, and most sessions end with less than they started with. Set a limit first. For everything else about the brand, visit our Coral Casino overview.

Coral is listed first because its offer is built around a £10 stake: bet £10 on slots after a qualifying deposit to get 100 free spins at 10p, no wagering. Ladbrokes, run by the same operator, also starts at £10 played on slots. 18+, terms apply.

Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open a new account with another; check the terms before signing up.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum deposit at Coral Casino?

Coral publishes a £5 minimum deposit for Google Pay and Pay by Bank. Its general deposit help page doesn't give one site-wide figure and says the minimum is displayed in the cashier, so for debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and paysafecard you see the minimum when you select the method. New players who want the welcome spins need to bet £10 on slots after a qualifying deposit, which makes £10 the practical starting point. See our Google Pay casinos page for how that method works.

Can I deposit £5 at Coral?

Yes, by Google Pay or Pay by Bank, both of which have a published £5 minimum and no deposit fee. Google Pay works on Android devices and Coral's Android apps; Pay by Bank asks you to approve the payment in your banking app. A £5 deposit lets you play but won't cover the £10 slot bet that triggers Coral's 100 free spins. For a wider view of low-stake options, our £5 deposit casino bonus page explains what a fiver typically gets across the market.

What is the maximum deposit at Coral?

Coral's deposit help page says UK customers cannot make a single deposit of more than £2,000, and that the cap applies to every payment method. The Google Pay and Pay by Bank pages quote £5,000 maximums, but for a UK account the £2,000 per-deposit cap is the one to expect. Your own deposit limits sit underneath that: if you have set a daily limit of £50, that is your real maximum. Our deposit limit rules page explains how those limits work.

Do I need to deposit £10 for the Coral free spins?

You need to bet £10 or more on slots after a qualifying deposit, so in practice your deposit has to be at least £10 unless you already have a balance. The offer, checked 5 October 2026, gives new players aged 18+ 100 free spins at 10p on selected games, accepted within 48 hours and used within 7 days, with no wagering on winnings. PayPal, Neteller, Skrill, Paysafe, prepaid cards and certain debit cards don't qualify. Our deposit £10 get free spins page compares similar deals.

Does Coral charge a fee on deposits?

No. Coral's help pages for Google Pay, Pay by Bank, PayPal, Visa, Apple Pay and paysafecard each say no fee is charged on deposits. Its Mastercard page adds that a card issuer could charge its own fees in some cases, which is why it is worth checking your bank's terms. Coral also says it charges no withdrawal fees. Payment fees vary widely between sites, and our guide to casino payment fees explains where they usually appear.

Can I use a credit card to deposit at Coral?

No. Credit cards have been banned for gambling in Great Britain since 14 April 2020, and Coral's deposit page confirms that UK and Irish customers cannot deposit with them. The ban also covers e-wallets topped up with a credit card, so a PayPal balance funded that way should not be used either. Use a debit card, Pay by Bank, Apple Pay or Google Pay linked to a debit card instead. Our page on the credit card funded e-wallet rule explains that part in detail.

Why was my Coral deposit declined?

Coral's card help pages list the usual reasons: insufficient funds, a name, address or phone number that doesn't match your card issuer's records, a wrong CVV2 or expiry date, or a bank that blocks gambling transactions. Hitting your own deposit limit or the £2,000 single-deposit cap will also stop a payment, as will trying a fourth payment method within 30 days. Check each in turn before trying again. Our page on bank gambling blocks explains how those blocks work.

What is the minimum withdrawal at Coral?

Coral publishes a £5 minimum withdrawal for Fast Bank Transfer and Google Pay, and it charges no withdrawal fees. For cards, PayPal, Pay by Bank, Apple Pay and paysafecard, the cashier shows the minimum when you select the method. Withdrawals go through Coral's internal review first; Visa Fast Funds then typically arrives within 4 hours and Fast Bank Transfer in 2–4 business days. The casino withdrawal limits guide compares these figures with the wider market.

Can I change my deposit limit at Coral?

Yes. Coral lets you edit or remove daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits at any time. Decreases take effect immediately, while increases only apply after a 24-hour confirmation period, a delay designed to stop impulsive decisions. Since 31 October 2025, operators must also prompt customers to set a limit before their first deposit and remind them periodically. Our question on why you have to wait to increase a deposit limit explains the reasoning.
