Who operates PokerStars Casino in the UK
Stars Interactive Limited is the company licensed to offer PokerStars Casino to players in Great Britain. On the Gambling Commission's register it holds account 39108 and gives an address in Onchan, on the Isle of Man. That company runs the casino, the poker room and the sports betting product for British customers under one licence.
PokerStars was founded in 2001 as an online poker room. Casino games and sports betting came later as the business grew. Since 2020 it has been part of Flutter Entertainment, the group that also owns Paddy Power, Betfair and Sky Betting & Gaming. Each of those brands holds its own separate UK licence account; they aren't sister sites on the PokerStars licence.
PokerStars Casino licences: five activities on one account
Stars Interactive Limited's register entry is unusually broad. Alongside the casino licence it holds a software licence, reflecting the fact that PokerStars builds much of its own technology.

In UK licensing terms, poker played against other people is a casino activity, which is why the poker room and the casino both sit under the casino licence. The remote casino licence page explains what that licence requires, and our Gambling Commission explainer covers how the regulator works.
PokerStars domains: what the register shows now
The register lists six domains on account 39108. When we checked on 20 October 2026, only one was active.

The practical point: if you reach PokerStars Casino for UK play, the address should be on pokerstars.uk. The separate casino and sports domains show as inactive, and the Full Tilt and BetStars addresses relate to older brands. The register doesn't give a date for when each domain went inactive, so we don't state one.
PokerStars Casino versus the PokerStars poker room
Many people searching for PokerStars Casino are poker players wondering how the casino tab differs. The difference is who you play against, and it changes the maths.

Casino versions of poker, such as Casino Hold'em and Three Card Poker, are played against the house and carry a built-in edge. A worked example: a game with a 2% house edge returns on average £98 for every £100 staked over the long run, so £200 of total bets would be expected to cost about £4. Short sessions vary widely, but the edge doesn't change. Our house edge explainer shows the calculation for other games.
What changed for PokerStars Casino players in 2025–2026
We don't have a verified brand-specific change to report beyond the domain picture above. The Commission's recent rules apply to PokerStars Casino as to every GB licensee.
Slot stakes are limited to £5 a spin for players aged 25+ (since 9 April 2025) and £2 for 18–24s (since 21 May 2025). The limits apply to online slots, not to poker or table games.
Non-slot casino games must take at least 5 seconds per game cycle, with no autoplay, since 17 January 2025. Our page on table game speed rules explains this.
Bonus wagering is capped at 10x since 19 January 2026, and offers that combine products, such as poker play rewarded with casino spins, are banned from the same date.
Deposit limits must be offered before your first deposit (since 31 October 2025), and gross deposit limits had to be available by 30 September 2026.
The mixed-product promotions ban is especially relevant to a multi-product brand like this one, because poker, casino and sport all sit on one account.
How to check PokerStars Casino on the Gambling Commission register
PokerStars Casino must give you deposit limits, time-outs, reality checks and self-exclusion, and must take part in GAMSTOP (opens in a new tab). Because poker, casino and sport share one account, a limit or exclusion you set may reach all three products on that account; the account settings show exactly what each tool applies to.
Long poker sessions can stretch time spent gambling, so a reality check, which pops up after a set period, can be useful. Our guide to reality checks explains how they work.
Use PokerStars' customer support and then its formal complaints process. Stars Interactive Limited must give you a final response, and if that doesn't settle things, you can take the matter to the free ADR provider named in its terms. The Commission's guide on how to complain about a gambling business (opens in a new tab) sets out what to expect, and our own casino complaints guide has template wording.
How PokerStars Casino compares as a type of site
This is a casino attached to a poker-first brand, inside a large listed group. That makes it different from slot-led brands and from casinos attached to sportsbooks.

Frequently asked questions
Who owns PokerStars Casino?
Flutter Entertainment owns PokerStars Casino, having acquired the PokerStars business in 2020. In Great Britain it is operated by Stars Interactive Limited, which holds Gambling Commission account 39108 and is based in Onchan on the Isle of Man. Flutter also owns Paddy Power, Betfair and Sky Betting & Gaming, but those run on separate UK licences. See our Betfair profile for another Flutter brand.
Is PokerStars Casino licensed in the UK?
Yes. Its operator holds an active UK remote casino licence, in place since 1 November 2014, plus betting, virtual betting, pool betting and gambling software licences. The register showed no regulatory actions on 20 October 2026. The register showed pokerstars.uk as the only active domain, so that is the address to expect for UK play. Our guide to checking a casino licence explains how to confirm it.
Is pokerstarscasino.uk still active?
Not according to the register. When we checked on 20 October 2026, pokerstarscasino.uk was listed as inactive on Stars Interactive Limited's account, along with pokerstarssports.uk, betstars.uk and two Full Tilt addresses. Only pokerstars.uk was active. The register doesn't show when each domain changed status. If you find a live PokerStars-branded casino on an unlisted domain, treat it with suspicion. The fake casino guide explains why.
Is PokerStars Casino the same as PokerStars poker?
They share an operator, account and licence, but they are different products. In the poker room you play against other people and PokerStars takes a rake or entry fee. In the casino you play against the house, and each game has a built-in edge. Both count as casino activity under UK licensing. Our house edge explainer shows how that edge works in pounds.
Where is PokerStars Casino based?
The UK licence holder gives its address as Onchan on the Isle of Man. Its parent company, Flutter Entertainment, is a large international group. Being based in the Isle of Man doesn't change your rights, because any company offering gambling to people in Great Britain needs a Gambling Commission licence and must follow its rules. The Gambling Act 2005 page explains why.
Do the slot stake limits apply at PokerStars Casino?
Yes, on online slots. Since 9 April 2025 the maximum is £5 per spin for players aged 25 and over, and since 21 May 2025 it is £2 for players aged 18 to 24. The limits don't apply to poker or to table games, which have their own speed rules instead: at least 5 seconds per game cycle since 17 January 2025. Our £5 slot stake limit page has worked examples.
Is PokerStars Casino safe?
A long-established, UK-licensed company operates PokerStars Casino and the register listed no regulatory actions against it at our last check. That licence means identity checks, safer gambling tools, game design rules and access to free dispute resolution. It doesn't mean you will win: casino games are designed to return less than you stake over time. Set limits before you play. Our are online casinos safe page goes further.
Does GAMSTOP cover PokerStars?
Yes. The PokerStars licensee is a GB-licensed online operator, so it must take part in GAMSTOP. Registering blocks you from PokerStars poker, casino and sport, as well as every other GB-licensed online gambling site, for six months, one year or five years. You can't cancel an exclusion before it ends. Our guide on how to self-exclude explains GAMSTOP alongside operator-level options.
Are there PokerStars Casino sister sites?
Not on the same licence in the usual sense. The register's other domains on account 39108 are inactive, including old Full Tilt and BetStars addresses. Flutter's other UK brands, such as Paddy Power, Betfair and Sky Betting & Gaming, are run by separate licensed companies, so they are group siblings rather than sister sites on one licence. The casino sister sites guide explains the difference.
How do I complain about PokerStars Casino?
Contact PokerStars support and ask for a formal complaint to be opened, keeping screenshots and hand histories or game IDs where relevant. Stars Interactive Limited must give you a final response. If you are not satisfied, or eight weeks have passed, you can take the case to the free ADR provider named in its terms. Our explainer on complaints and ADR covers the time limits.
Gambling can be addictive. Free, confidential help is available 24 hours a day from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133. Get free support from GamCare or NHS gambling support, or block yourself from all UK-licensed gambling sites with GAMSTOP.
