25 free spins used to be a familiar UK sign-up deal, and many came with wagering high enough to swallow most of the winnings. Since 19 January 2026, wagering is capped at 10x, which changes the sums completely. None of our partners offers twenty-five spins, so this page works through the maths and shows the closest offers, checked 5 October 2026. 18+, terms apply.
Twenty-five spins at 10p have a face value of £2.50.
Before 19 January 2026, high wagering often left little or nothing of spin winnings; at today's 10x cap, £4 of bonus winnings needs at most £40 of play.
The cap doesn't remove other conditions such as win limits, max bets, expiry and game restrictions.
Our three partner spin offers (PlayOJO 80, Coral 100, Ladbrokes up to 500) have no wagering on spin winnings and need a £10 deposit or slot stake. 18+, terms apply.

What a 25 free spins offer gives you
Twenty-five rounds on a slot named by the casino, at a fixed spin value, typically 10p, for a face value of £2.50. The offer may need a deposit, a qualifying stake, an opt-in or a step like verifying your phone number. Winnings arrive either as cash or as bonus funds with a wagering requirement, and that second detail is what this page is mostly about.
If you're new to spin offers, our guide on how free spins work covers the basics. For the rule itself in detail, see the 10x wagering cap page.
25 free spins before and after 19 January 2026
The Gambling Commission announced on 26 March 2025 that bonus wagering would be capped at 10 times, with a ban on promotions mixing gambling products. The start date was moved in July 2025 from 19 December 2025 to 19 January 2026, and both rules have applied since then. The Commission's own illustration was a £10 bonus with 50x wagering, which would have needed £500 of play. Its announcement, gambling promotions to be safer and simpler (opens in a new tab), sets out the reasoning.

Worked example: the same spin winnings under different wagering
Say twenty-five 10p spins return £4 in bonus funds. The table shows what each wagering level would ask of you, and the average cost of that play on a slot with a 96% RTP. The expected-cost column is an average; a real session could finish well above or below it, and can end at zero before wagering is complete.

Under the old high multiples, the average outcome was to lose the spin winnings during wagering. At 10x, most of the value survives on average. With no wagering, it's all cash from the start. That's why we treat wagering as the single biggest factor in a spin offer's value.
How to work out the cost of wagering yourself
You need three numbers: the bonus winnings, the wagering multiple and the RTP of the game you'll play. Then:
Multiply the winnings by the wagering multiple to get the play required (£4 × 10 = £40).
Subtract the RTP from 100% to get the house edge (100% − 96% = 4%).
Multiply the play required by the house edge to get the average cost (£40 × 4% = £1.60).
Subtract the average cost from the winnings to get the average left (£4 − £1.60 = £2.40).
Check the game weighting: if a game counts only 10% towards wagering, the play required is ten times higher on that game.
The cap limits one condition only. Others remain lawful as long as the terms are clear and fair, and our partners' current offers show several of them in use:
Win limits. 10bet's match bonus, for example, caps bonus winnings at £1,000.
Max bet while a bonus is active. Casumo's match bonus limits bets to £5. See the max bet rule explained.
Short deadlines. 10bet allows three days to wager; Casumo allows seven.
Payment exclusions. Coral and Ladbrokes both exclude e-wallets such as PayPal and Skrill, plus prepaid cards, from their spin offers.
Game restrictions. Spins are tied to named slots, and some games may count less towards wagering.
All these appear in the published terms and apply only to those offers; 18+ and terms apply throughout. A 25-spin offer elsewhere could combine several, so read the full list of conditions rather than stopping at the wagering line.
Is a 25 free spins no deposit offer still possible?
Yes, in principle. Nothing in the rules bans no-deposit spins, but every UK casino must verify your age and identity before you play with a bonus, and the 10x cap applies to any wagering. In practice large brands have moved towards deposit-linked offers with no wagering, and none of our partners has a no-deposit offer. Our no deposit free spins page tracks how those offers are typically structured.
If you see a twenty-five-spin no-deposit offer quoting wagering above 10x, it's either out of date or from a site not licensed for Great Britain.
Spotting an outdated twenty-five-spin offer
Affiliate pages and cached adverts can show terms that no longer exist. Signs that a twenty-five-spin listing is stale:
Wagering above 10x on any part of the offer.
Spins given for a sports bet or bingo purchase.
No date showing when the offer was last checked.
Mentions of autoplay or turbo spins, banned on UK slots since 31 October 2021.
A deposit method listed that includes credit cards, banned since 14 April 2020.
Start with the casino's own complaints process, quoting the offer name and the terms that applied on the day you claimed. If it isn't resolved within the casino's deadline, you can take it to the independent dispute resolution service the operator names. The Gambling Commission's page on how to complain about a gambling business (opens in a new tab) explains the stages, and our complaints and ADR page lists what each stage involves.
Budgets, limits and support
Wagering means more play, and more play means more exposure to the house edge. Decide a budget before you claim, set a deposit limit when the casino asks (UK casinos must ask before your first deposit since 31 October 2025), and stop when the spins and any planned play are done.
If gambling stops being fun, talk to GamCare (opens in a new tab) by chat or call the National Gambling Helpline free on 0808 8020 133. GAMSTOP, NHS gambling clinics and Gamblers Anonymous are also available; our safer gambling page lists each service.

Frequently asked questions
How much are 25 free spins worth?
At 10p each, twenty-five spins have a face value of £2.50, and the average return on a 96% RTP slot is about £2.40. What you actually keep depends on the result and on whether winnings are paid as cash or bonus funds. If they're bonus funds with 10x wagering, part of the value goes on the extra play. Find the spin value and wagering line in the terms, then use our wagering calculator to estimate what's likely to be left.
What is the wagering on 25 free spins in the UK?
At a UK-licensed casino it can't be more than 10 times the bonus winnings, a cap in force since 19 January 2026. So £3 of bonus winnings from twenty-five spins would need, at most, £30 of play before withdrawal. Many offers now have no wagering on spin winnings at all, including all three of our partner spin offers. If you see a higher figure, the offer is outdated or unlicensed. Our explainer on how wagering requirements work covers the details.
Were 25 free spins better before the wagering cap?
Usually not. Before 19 January 2026, spin offers could carry wagering far above 10x; at multiples like 35x or 50x, the average cost of the play was greater than the winnings themselves. Under today's 10x cap, more of the value survives, and no-wagering offers keep all of it. Some older offers may have had fewer other restrictions, but wagering was the condition that decided value. Our guide to bonuses before and after the 10x cap compares typical examples.
Can I get 25 free spins without a deposit?
Some UK-licensed casinos still run small no-deposit spin offers, but they've become less common and none of our partners has one. You'll still need to pass age and identity checks before playing, and any wagering is capped at 10x. No-deposit offers often limit how much you can withdraw from the winnings. Our answer to can I get free spins without a deposit explains the usual catches and what to look for in the terms.
Do I keep what I win from 25 free spins?
You keep it once any conditions are met. With no-wagering spins, winnings go straight to your cash balance and can be withdrawn under the casino's normal rules. With wagered spins, you need to complete the play-through first, and a win cap may limit the amount that converts. A casino can't confiscate money just because you didn't verify within a time limit. Our guide on free spins winnings shows how each type is credited.
Does the 10x cap apply to free spins winnings?
Yes. The cap in the Gambling Commission's rewards and bonuses code covers bonus funds, and free spin winnings credited as bonus funds are bonus funds. Since 19 January 2026, those winnings can't need more than 10 times their value in play. Winnings paid as cash aren't subject to wagering at all. The latest bonus rules page tracks the cap and related changes with dates and sources.
Why do some 25 free spins offers say 'one per household'?
Casinos limit offers to one per person, household, device or payment method to stop the same person claiming several times through different accounts. If two people in the same home both want an offer, check the terms, because the second claim could be refused. Coral and Ladbrokes share one operator, so their terms may also restrict holding new accounts at both. Our page on bonus abuse explains what casinos treat as a breach and what can happen.
Can a 25 free spins offer be combined with sports bets?
Not any more. Since 19 January 2026, a single promotion can't mix gambling products, so a casino can't give spins for placing a sports bet or buying bingo tickets. Each offer has to stick to one product, and that applies to any incentive, not only welcome offers. Before that date, cross-product deals were common. The mixed-product promotions ban page explains the rule, what it covers and what it doesn't.
How do I compare a 25 free spins offer with a match bonus?
Put both into pounds and then account for wagering. Twenty-five 10p spins are £2.50 of play; a 100% match on £25 adds £25 of bonus, but with 10x wagering that's £250 of play and an average cost of around £10 at a 96% RTP. Spins without wagering are simpler but smaller. Our free spins vs deposit bonus comparison works through more examples.
Are 25 free spins safe to claim?
They're as safe as the casino behind them. Check that the operator holds an active licence on the Gambling Commission's register, read the terms before you register, and set a deposit limit. UK-licensed sites must follow the 10x cap, fair-terms rules and complaints procedures with access to independent dispute resolution. Our guide to checking a casino licence takes a couple of minutes.
