Who is behind IGT casino games?
IGT, short for International Game Technology, is one of the oldest names in slot machines and is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada. For decades its cabinets have filled American casino floors, and many of the titles British players now find online were designed first for those machines. On 1 July 2025 the gaming business passed to funds managed by Apollo and was combined with Everi, another American gaming supplier. The combined company is organised into three units: Gaming, Digital and FinTech.
For online players the Digital unit matters most, because it adapts cabinet games for internet casinos and supplies them to operators. The name on the lobby tile is still IGT, and the games keep their familiar artwork and sounds. If you want to see how a supplier like this connects to the casino you actually play at, read our explainer on casino software providers or browse all studios on the providers hub.
From the Vegas floor to UK online casinos
IGT casino games carry their land-based roots in plain sight. Layouts are conventional, usually five reels with three or four rows. Paylines are fixed, often 20 or 40. Bonus rounds are built around free spins with a multiplier rather than elaborate pick-me games or collect mechanics. That simplicity is a big part of the appeal for players who first met these games in a casino or on holiday.
The cabinet heritage also shows in the release dates. Pharaoh's Fortune is listed as a 2006 game, while Da Vinci Diamonds came online in 2012 and Wolf Run in 2014, according to our records. Those dates are the online launches; the land-based originals are older still. If you prefer this unhurried style, our pages on classic slots and video slots explain how the two families differ.
What changes in the online version
The reels, symbols and paytables usually carry across, but the maths can be retuned for online play and each casino chooses a version. Online versions must also obey British design rules that land-based cabinets in the US never had, from the ban on autoplay to on-screen net position. We cover those rules further down.
Signature mechanics in IGT slots
Tumbling reels. In Da Vinci Diamonds, winning symbols disappear and new ones drop into the gaps, giving another chance to win from the same stake. It was one of the earlier slots to use the idea that later became widespread as cascading reels.
Stacked wilds. Wolf Run fills whole reel sections with wilds, so a single spin can connect several of its 40 lines at once.
Free spins with a multiplier. Cleopatra's bonus round is the template: a run of free spins in which wins are multiplied. See slot multipliers explained.
Both-ways pays. Siberian Storm uses a 3-4-5-4-3 reel shape giving 720 ways, paid left to right and right to left.
Changing line counts. Pharaoh's Fortune runs 15 paylines in the base game and switches to 20 during free spins.
None of these is unusual today, but several IGT titles were among the first to bring them to a wide audience. If the vocabulary is new, the glossary entries on stacked and sticky wilds, ways to win and bonus rounds are short and practical.

Three of IGT's most famous titles, Cleopatra, Da Vinci Diamonds and Wolf Run, have published RTPs just under or just over 95%. Newer titles and some later versions reach about 96%. The widest range belongs to Siberian Storm, where versions are reported from 92.52% to 96%.
What IGT RTPs mean per hour of play
RTP tells you the long-run return on everything you stake. Speed of play tells you how much you stake in a given time. Put them together and you get a useful number: the expected cost per hour. British rules set a minimum of 2.5 seconds per slot spin, which means at most 24 spins a minute. In practice, with pauses and bonus animations, most people spin far fewer.
Take a relaxed pace of 400 spins an hour at £1 a spin, or £400 staked. On Da Vinci Diamonds at 94.93%, the expected cost is £20.28 an hour. On a Siberian Storm version at 92.52% it would be £29.92. On Pharaoh's Fortune at its top 96.52% setting it falls to £13.92. The actual result of any hour can be a win or a much bigger loss, but the averages show how much the version matters.

IGT's 2025 ownership change: what it means for players
The move to Apollo-managed funds on 1 July 2025, and the combination with Everi, was a corporate change at the top of the business. For someone playing IGT casino games in Britain, it does not change how an individual game works, its RTP or the rules that apply. Those are fixed by the game's certified maths and by the Gambling Commission's standards.
What can change over time is the catalogue: which games are supplied, which are updated, and which are withdrawn. If you can't find an older title, that is more likely to reflect supply decisions than anything about fairness. The guide to how casino games are tested explains what has to happen before a game, or a new version of one, goes live in Britain.
UK rules that apply to IGT slots
Games built originally for American casino floors look and feel slightly different in their British online form, because UK law and the Commission's remote technical standards (opens in a new tab) set firm rules:

Companies that make or supply gambling software for British customers need their own Gambling Commission licence. Following the 2025 ownership change, entity names may have shifted, and we haven't verified a current account number to quote. The dependable approach is to search 'IGT' or 'International Game Technology' on the public register of businesses (opens in a new tab) and read the status and activities shown for each match. Our walkthrough on how to check a casino licence uses the same tool.
How to find IGT casino games online in the UK
Sign in to a UK-licensed casino and finish any outstanding verification; age checks come before any play.
Go to the slots lobby and open the providers or studios filter.
Select IGT. If it isn't listed, search a title such as 'Cleopatra' to see whether the casino carries it and which studio it credits.
Open the game's paytable and help screen, and note the RTP for that version.
Pick a stake within the £5 or £2 cap and decide in advance how long you will play.
Use your account's deposit limit and reality check tools to keep spending in line with your budget.
Some IGT titles share names with sequels or spin-offs, such as Cleopatra variants. Each is a separate game with its own maths, so check the help screen of the exact one you open.
Where to play IGT casino games with a checked offer
We don't state which IGT games any casino currently lists, because lobbies change without notice. These three UKGC-licensed partners had their welcome offers checked on 5 October 2026, and none of the offers is limited to IGT titles. Coral gives 18+ new players 100 free spins at 10p each once they deposit and bet £10 on slots; the spins are on selected games, must be accepted within 48 hours and last 7 days, and their winnings carry no wagering.
Ladbrokes gives up to 500 free spins at 10p, as 50 a day for 10 days, after a £10 slots spend, with no wagering. PlayOJO offers 80 spins on Big Bass Bonanza with winnings paid as cash after a £10 first deposit, not available in Northern Ireland. Excluded payment methods apply at Coral and Ladbrokes, and full terms apply throughout. Our Coral vs Ladbrokes comparison sets the two Entain brands side by side.
None of our partners runs an IGT-specific offer. Coral and Ladbrokes give 10p spins on selected slots after a £10 slots spend, and PlayOJO's 80 spins are on Big Bass Bonanza; 18+, terms apply.
Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open a new account with another; check the terms before signing up.

Frequently asked questions
What does IGT stand for?
IGT stands for International Game Technology, a slot machine maker headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is best known in Britain for online versions of land-based slots like Cleopatra, Da Vinci Diamonds and Wolf Run. Since 1 July 2025 its gaming business has been owned by Apollo-managed funds and combined with Everi, with units covering Gaming, Digital and FinTech. The Digital side supplies online casinos. To see how IGT compares with other studios, browse our game providers hub or the profile of fellow land-based maker Light & Wonder.
Who owns IGT now?
Since 1 July 2025, IGT's gaming business has been owned by funds managed by Apollo, and it has been combined with Everi, another US gaming supplier. The merged business is split into Gaming, Digital and FinTech units. For players, the ownership change doesn't alter how existing games work or the rules that apply to them in Britain. Those depend on each game's certified maths and Gambling Commission standards. If you want to understand how studio ownership and casino licensing differ, our guide to casino software providers and the Gambling Commission explained page cover both.
What is the RTP of Cleopatra?
Cleopatra by IGT is listed with a 95.02% RTP, meaning that over a very long run it returns about £95.02 for every £100 staked, leaving a house edge of about 4.98%. Casinos can sometimes run different versions, so the figure in the game's help screen is the one to trust. A 95% slot costs more on average than a 96% one, though the difference only shows over many spins. For a simple method to find the live figure, read how to check slot RTP, and see house edge explained for the maths.
How do tumbling reels work in Da Vinci Diamonds?
After a win, the winning symbols vanish and new symbols fall into the empty spaces, which can create another win from the same stake. The sequence continues until no new win forms. It's the same idea many studios now call cascading or avalanche reels. Tumbles don't change the game's RTP, which is listed at 94.93% for Da Vinci Diamonds; they are part of how that return is delivered. Our pages on cascading reels explained and how slot bonus rounds work explain the mechanics and how they affect volatility.
Are IGT slots low RTP?
Several of IGT's best-known titles are a little below the 96% many online-first slots publish. Cleopatra is listed at 95.02%, Wolf Run at 94.98% and Da Vinci Diamonds at 94.93%. Others reach higher: Pharaoh's Fortune is listed at up to 96.52% and Fortune Coin at up to 96.20%. Siberian Storm varies from 92.52% to 96% by version. Lower RTP means a higher expected cost over time, not a lower chance of any single win. Compare with our high RTP slots guide and what is a good RTP.
Can I play IGT slots with autoplay in the UK?
No. Autoplay has been banned on online slots for British players since 31 October 2021, so every spin of an IGT game must be started individually. The same rules impose a 2.5-second minimum per spin and remove turbo and slam-stop. You may notice autoplay in American or international versions, but builds supplied to Great Britain don't include it. The Commission introduced these changes to slow play and make it easier to keep track of time and money. Our autoplay ban and spin speed limit pages have the details.
What is Siberian Storm's 720 ways feature?
Siberian Storm uses an unusual 3-4-5-4-3 reel shape, with three symbols on the outer reels and five in the middle. Multiplying the symbol counts (3 × 4 × 5 × 4 × 3) gives 720 ways to win, and the game pays matching symbols on adjacent reels in both directions, left to right and right to left, so more combinations count than on a one-direction ways game. The RTP is reported at 92.52% to 96% depending on version, so check the help screen. The ways to win glossary entry and slot features explained describe how ways-based games are counted.
Is IGT licensed in the UK?
Anyone supplying gambling software to British customers needs a Gambling Commission licence, and you can check any company's status on the Commission's public register. Because entity names may have changed since the 2025 ownership move, we haven't quoted an account number we couldn't verify. Search 'IGT' or 'International Game Technology' on the register and read the status and licensed activities for each entry. The casino offering the game must be licensed too. Our guide on how to check a casino licence and what does UKGC licensed mean explain what to look for.
How much can I bet on IGT slots in the UK?
The maximum is £5 per spin if you are 25 or older and £2 per spin if you are 18 to 24, under rules in force since 9 April 2025 and 21 May 2025. On Cleopatra's 20 lines, a £5 spin works out at 25p a line and a £2 spin at 10p a line. On Wolf Run's 40 lines, those stakes are 12.5p and 5p a line. The cap covers the whole game cycle. Read the £2 slot stake limit page and the £5 slot stake limit explainer for worked examples.
Why does Cleopatra appear more than once in a lobby?
IGT has released several games that share the Cleopatra name, including sequels and jackpot versions, and a lobby may show more than one. Each is a separate game with its own paytable, features and RTP, so the 95.02% figure for the original doesn't automatically carry across. Open the help screen of the version you choose to read its rules. If a jackpot is involved, read how it is won and funded. Our explainers on jackpot slots and how to read a slot paytable help you compare versions quickly.
